Chapter 48 Where Is She
People quickly stepped aside to clear a path.

The factory workers had never met the newly appointed CEO of the company. Yet, the moment he stepped in, his innate authority immediately commanded their respect.
Scott, his expression icy, walked straight to the conference table. “Have they found her?”
His gaze swept across the room.
The silence was suffocating.
But someone had to answer. And as the highest–ranking person in the factory, the responsibility fell to the factory manager.
All eyes turned to him.
Scott’s sharp, almond–shaped eyes–usually as cold as frost–locked onto him. Camron’s heart pounded violently, unsure if it was out of fear or awe at the CEO’s striking presence. “Mr. Sterling.” he stammered, “w–we haven’t found her yet.”
“You’re Camron
“Y–Yes, sir.”
“If I’m not mistaken, you were responsible for hosting Ms. Willis today. Which means you should be the one most familiar with her whereabouts” Scott’s voice was calm but carried an undeniable weight.
Camron swallowed hard, his pulse racing. That’s correct. I was the one who received Ms. Willis, and I also saw her off. But I only escorted her to the factory gates. After that, I returned inside. I truly have no idea where she went after that,”
“You really don’t know?” Scott leaned forward, placing his slender fingers on the table, his piercing gaze drilling into him. “What if I have proof you’re lying?”
Camron’s mind went blank. His dark complexion turned ashen. “No, I swear I’m not lying! I really don’t know where she is!”
No matter what, he had to gamble. Around the room, those in on the secret kept their heads down, sweating, barely daring to breathe.
Scott remained silent. He had simply bluffed. But the way Camron reacted gave everything away. Jemima’s disappearance was definitely connected to them.
Julius, listening from the sidelines, had reached his limit. Seething with rage, he stormed forward, grabbed Camron by the collar, and snarled, “Where is my wife? What did you do to her?”
Camron struggled. “W–Who are you? Let go!”
With a sickening crack, Julius slammed Camron’s head against the table.
The room froze.
Someone wanted to step in and help, but Scott’s cold stare made it clear–this had his approval
Julius yanked Caron’s head back. “Talk. Where is she!”
“T…” Camron’s face was scared with blood, his nose broken and swollen. He wanted to say he didn’t know, but the moment he opened his mouth and saw the terrifying expression before him–the kind that suggested his head could be twisted off at any second–he lost his nerve and swallowed his words.

“If you’re in such a hurry to die, I’d be more than happy to oblige.” Julius lifted Camron’s head, ready to slam it into t tabletop once again.
“I talk! I’ll talk!” Camron screamed, unable to take it anymore. If his head hit that desk one more time, he knew he wouldn’t
survive.
His face was just a breath away from the wooden surface when Julius yanked him back up. “This is your last chance.”
His voice was ice–cold, sending shivers down Camron’s spine. But he wasn’t the only one trembling–the others in the room.

They wanted to stop this. They wanted to intervene, to step in before Camron could speak. But just as they moved, a single piercing gaze locked onto them–one so commanding it froze them in place.
One wrong move, and everything would come crashing down.
If Camron talked, they were finished.
The tension in the room was suffocating.
“Ms. Willis… she’s at-
“What the hell is going on here?”
Just as Camron was about to reveal everything, a sharp voice rang out from the entrance, cutting through the thick air. He snapped his mouth shut instantly.
Daryl had arrived.
Trailing behind him was Naomi.
The two had driven into the factory, one car following the other.
Scott turned his head toward the entrance, his cold gaze landing on Daryl. The message in his eyes was crystal clear. Im handling this. Who do you think you are to interfere?
Daryl lowered his head slightly, brushing his fingers against his nose, before quietly stepping behind Naomi.
Julius’s blood boiled. The perfect moment to break Camron had been shattered by these two idiots barging in unannounced. He pointed straight at Daryl and barked, “Take him outside and beat him within an inch of his life.”
Daryl barely had time to react before a group of burly, intimidating men–clearly professionals–advanced toward him with deadly intent.
Without hesitation, he turned on his heel and bolted.
