Chapter 14 – Plotting and Teasing
“You smell so good.“}
The moment those words left my mouth, I froze and jumped out of his arms like I’d been burned by fire.
“Why, thank you,” he smirked.”
I facepalmed, my cheeks red with embarrassment as I wished the ground would pave way so I could get out of this situation.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking,” I blurted.}
He steadied me, “Are you alright?“}
I shrank away from his touch immediately, “I’m fine. I just lost my balance a bit.”
“Yeah, I saw that. You were falling for me,” he grinned.
I chuckled, “You’re a smooth one, aren’t you?“>
He shrugged, “I don’t know, I guess I have my charms when I feel like charming someone.“}
Our eyes met again briefly and I looked away immediately, still blushing.
“What are you doing here this late?” I asked him.”
“I came to see you, Princess.“}
The way he called me ‘Princess‘ made my heartbeat increase. I frowned inwardly, What’s this stupid thing doing now after the last one?}
Me?” I raised a brow.
He nodded, “Yes, we’re supposed to talk strategy.”}
“Oh!” I exclaimed, as it clicked..
“Yeah, of course. Should we go inside to discuss?” I asked him.”
He looked around the garden and shook his head, “This place is actually perfect. Let’s just sit over there, let me show you what I have.“}
We headed over to the swinging bench my father had added to the garden and sat down. The bench swung, causing us to draw closer and I bumped into his chest.
“I’m sorry, maybe we should just go inside,” I said awkwardly, rubbing my nose.
He shook his head, “It’s fine, Lily, I like it here. Also, relax around me, you’re too stiff. We’re meant to be engaged so we need to sell it.”
I gulped softly, nodding, “Alright. I can do that.”}
He brought out the laptop I didn’t realize he had been holding with how he had caught me so smoothly earlier and his arms wrapped around my waist –
Focus, Lily! I mentally slapped myself.”
“So here’s the dirt I found out on Judge Harris,” he said, showing me the laptop.
On the laptop, a video was playing. It was Judge Harris tied up to a bedpost with his butt in the air while a hooker spanked him and he begged for more.
“Eww, this is disgusting,” I groaned.}
Damon chuckled, “There’s more. Seems Judge Harris is into kinks.”
The next video made me almost throw up. In the video was Judge Harris tied up with his butt sticking up in the air as a stripper –>
“Gosh, I can’t look. This is so disgusting, he’s a bloody man!” I gagged.}
Damon laughed and closed the laptop, “Looks like he likes being a woman in the bedroom with his whores.“}
I sighed, “But the world is civilized no one would give a fuck about this.“}
Damon laughed, “Oh but they will. Firstly, Harris is happily married and has a reputation to protect. Secondly, he’s anti–gay. Imagine what the LGBTQ community will say when they see him getting a**–f*cked.”}
A slow grin spread across my lips as I stood up, “Well, now, we go and threaten Harris with this video and he has no choice but to cave and close the case so my dad will have the rights to his product back and start production.“}
Damon nodded, “Exactly how we’re going to play it.”
“Now, Mr. Sterling, that’s fucking brilliant! You’ve done well,” I exclaimed happily.”
Damon stood up and stared at me with a smirk, “Since I’ve done well, don’t I deserve a reward?”
My heart lurched as I felt my stomach flutter, but I managed to speak.}
“What do you want? I’m sure my father can arrange something.”
He took two steps toward me and I took another backward but he immediately wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer.
I was way too close to him, every inch of me painfully aware of the contact.
He was standing so close to me and his scent tickled my nose. That Vanilla scent. Of course, it had to be my favorite.
“But I don’t want anything from your father, Princess, it’s you I want something from,” he smirked.”
I could feel his thumbs rubbing circles around my waist and I hitched my breath, inhaling sharply.
“What do you want?” I managed to ask.

He leaned in so close that our lips were dangerously touching.”
I stopped breathing for a moment as I stared at him, then when I thought he would kiss me, he spoke.
“A drink,” he said, cool as ever.
