Chapter 6
Sebastian’s POV
I snapped back to reality, my grip loosening, and Celeste fell to the floor.
Her face was red and swollen, her neck marked with deep bruises that made my eyes burn
But the pain I felt wasn’t for her–it was for Marigold.
1 could almost see her terrified, disappointed eyes, and Jasper’s small, stubborn body.
I raised my hand and slapped myself hard across the face, my vision blurring as I muttered in anguish: “How could I ever lay a hand on Marigold and Jasper? I’ve taken everything from her, isn’t that enough?”
„A feral storm raged in my chest–my wolf howling in furry
My fingers sharpened into claws, bearing through my own hair as I fought to contain the violence threatening to erupt.
Celeste shakily climbed to her feet and grabbed my hand, suddenly slapping it against her own check
“Sebastian,
If you’r
re upset, just hit me. I don’t mind I’ll bear any grievance for you”
But Dorian is still so young, and today, Marigold even dared to lay hands on him. And Jasper, he made my son’s face full of scratches!”
“If I’m not around, who knows how they’ll treat Dorian…”
Her voice choked on each word, yet every sentence pushed me further into a dark corner of my mind.
“If you really still care about Marigold, I’ll take Dorian and leave. I swear, we’ll never bother you again… Is that okay?”
My breath was ragged, my claws digging into my flesh, torn between wolf instincts and reason.
As she spoke, she shoved Dorian in front of me, her eyes filled with sadness: “Say goodbye to your father, Dorian. No matter what happens, never come back to disturb him again.”
Dorian burst into tears, grabbing onto my leg, sobbing hysterically:
*I’m not leaving Daddy! I don’t want tol”
My eyes grew red, and I pulled him into my arms, whispering softly
“Alright alright, Dorian will stay. Dorian can stay with Daddy.”
Seeing this, Celeste immediately pressed close, nestling against my chest like a smug, victorious cat.
After a moment’s hesitation, I finally gave in and wrapped my arms around her.
She clung tighter, if lier triumph was already sealed
Then, from the shadowed corner, Damian stepped forward
is gaze was sharp as a blade, fists clenched, fury simmering just beneath his skin.
“Alpha,” he spoke in a low, cold voice, “while I was investigating Marigold’s whereabouts, I saw some surveillance footage.”
He pulled out his phone and handed it to me.
I furrowed my brow, taking the phone, and watching with growing horror
In the footage, it was Celeste who had followed me at the train station and injected me with anesthetic, preventing me from reaching the train in
Another clip showed that it wasn’t Marigold, nor Jasper, but Celeste who had actually hurt Dorian!
And yet, I had believed her without question.
Images of Marigold’s to

moment, it felt like my heart was being torn apart.
Enraged, I grabbed the phone and smashed it into Celeste’s lace.
*So this is your saying of “Marigold bullying Dorian‘?

“You’d even use your own son to frame her?”
“You even dare to drug me, making me miss the chance to stop Marigold? I could’ve caught up to her!”
I could no longer hold back. I grabbed Dorian by the collar and yanked him up
“You just like your mum, a total shammer!”
My face hardened as I shoved him back into Celeste’s arms. With a flick of my wrist, I tossed a card at their feet.
“If it weren’t for you, Marigold wouldn’t have left without a word.”
“If it weren’t for you, I could’ve stopped that train.”
“Take it. There’s enough in that account to last you and Dorian until he’s

“Now get the hell out of my sight.”
I narned and walked away, my steps final, my back never once turning to them again
Just like the day I drove Marigold and Jasper away.
But this time I knew I could never get her back
