Ellis, who had no idea her ex–husband was coming, was having a lovely dinner after walking around the town during the day. She was trying to get rid of the disgust in her heart after she saw Easton’s text. Then, she went back to her hotel.
After all, she was not in her home country; there was some work stuff that she couldn’t manage. Hence, her workload was reduced.

She had fun until night fell. As she went back to her hotel, she saw a familiar figure in front of her room, someone whom she hadn’t expected.
The fact that Easton showed up on the other side of the globe so suddenly scared her.
The scariest thing was, he was holding a bouquet of flowers.
After all, she was still young, and it hadn’t been long since her divorce from Easton. She remembered their five years together clearly. Every detail of how they interacted, every instance of whether Easton had ever taken the initiative to send her flowers.
