No sooner had one colleague left than another approached, arms laden with bags, which they dumped onto her desk, annonicing. “Ms. Harper, the Nexus Group has sent over New Year’s gifts for our president’s office, this one’s yours.”
It wasn’t the first time Nexus Group had been generous.

After thanking her colleague, Ellis opened the bags to see what was inside. True to her expectations, Nexus Group had sent items that would be considered expensive for the average person.
She discreetly took photos of the items and used an image search to find out how much they were worth before listing them for sale on a second hand website.

A few days ago, on her first day back in the country, he had sent her two messages, then retracted them.

Ellis was surprised that someone else had noticed her receiving flowers.
She didn’t respond, simply raising an eyebrow at her colleague.
Failing to grasp her actual meaning, her colleague exclaimed with the excitement of a juicy revelation, “I guessed right, Mr. Morty is your suitor? Ms. Harper, the quality of your suitors is too good!”
Ellis was speechless to the extreme. She herself wouldn’t dare claim Morty as her suitor, yet others dared to ask her such pointless questions.
