I’m the Obsession of My Cold–Hearted Ex
Chapter 347 Shattered Trust and Silent Rejection.

God, could you just send down some lightning and strike my husband? Let him know what happens when you lie!
As that thought crossed her mind, a sudden flash of light streaked across the wall through the floor–to- ceiling window.
Boom!
Thunder rumbled outside.
Ellis stood by the window, watching the rain for a moment.
She silently prayed that her worthless ex was outside, preferably somewhere that made him an easy target for lightning.
Meanwhile, contrary to her wishes, as soon as Easton realized Ellis believed he had cheated, he immediately set out to gather evidence.
Evidence wasn’t hard to find, there were countless ways to prove his innocence.
Once he had what he needed, he couldn’t wait to show Ellis.
Unfortunately, the heavy rain that night, combined with the late hour, made it clear that visiting her would only disturb her rest. Easton had no choice but to wait until the next day.
That night, Easton’s nerves stayed on edge, keeping him wide awake.
A voice echoed in his mind, repeating over and over that once Ellis saw the evidence, she would believe he hadn’t cheated with Victoria. If that happened, getting back together with her would become much easier.
So, the next morning, Easton woke up early.
Knowing Ellis liked to sleep in, he decided to wait until around noon to visit her place.
Sure enough, Ellis was awake but unwilling to leave her bed, a common habit for many people, and she was no exception.
Unfortunately, her peaceful morning was interrupted when the property management called.
“Ms. Harper, there’s a Mr. Hudson here to see you.”
That was the first thing the management said. Before they could finish, she hung up instantly.
Her ex–husband must be out of his mind. Just because he wanted to see her, did that mean she had to oblige?
Did he really think he ruled the world or something?
As if anticipating her reaction, the property manager sent a text just minutes later.
[Ms. Harper, Mr. Hudson has left. He left something for me to pass along to you.]
What kind of nonsense was this? She didn’t care!

But just as she finished washing up, the management showed up at her door with the package.

She had assumed whatever Easton sent would be something he thought she’d like, not that she intended to
keep it anyway.
But reality was nothing like her imagination.
The items turned out to be a stack of documents and a USB drive.
The management briefly displayed the items before handing them to her. “Here you go, Ms. Harper.”
“What’s this about? Ellis muttered under her breath.
After closing the door, she returned to her bed without giving the documents or the USB drive a second glance. Instead, she leisurely ordered takeout first, deciding food came before anything else.
Once her hunger was satisfied, she resisted the urge to toss both items straight into the trash and reluctantly flipped through the documents.
After skimming the contents, Ellis had only one thought:
Her ex–husband was beyond ridiculous, no way she’d believe a word he said!
Fabricating so–called evidence and then boldly declaring his innocence?
Unbelievable. The nerve of that man, his skin was practically bulletproof!
Impatient to read through her ex–husband’s lies, Ellis carefully shredded the documents, piece by piece, to avoid exposing any personal information. Then, grabbing her laptop, she plugged in the USB drive, formatted it without even glancing at the contents, and tossed it in the trash.
On her end, it felt like she’d just taken out the garbage.
Meanwhile, Easton waited, equal parts hopeful and anxious.
He knew Ellis didn’t want to see him or hear what he had to say, so he’d deliberately prepared both physical and digital evidence for her convenience. What he hadn’t anticipated was just how hard it would be to regain her trust.
When someone stops believing you, no amount of proof, no matter how convincing, will change their mind. To them, everything becomes a lie.
That was exactly where things stood between Easton and Ellis.
From last night to this morning, then from morning to evening, Easton waited for some kind of response. but nothing came.
Unable to hold back any longer, he turned to his mother for help.
Though she had just as much trouble arranging a meeting with Ellis, at least she could still reach her without issue, something Easton himself couldn’t manage
Noticing the hint of excitement on her son’s face, Sophia couldn’t help but ask, “What’s got you so happy?”
A few days ago, when her son had called her, his mood had been far from wood. vet today, he seemed

“Mom, can I borrow your phone for a moment?” Easton didn’t answer her question directly; instead, he Simply held out his hand.
“My phone?” Sophia looked puzzled. “Where’s yours?
“I need to call Ellis.”
“Alright.”
Without hesitation, Sophia handed him her phone.
Easton immediately dialed Ellis’s number.
Seeing Sophia’s name on the screen, Ellis frowned slightly, instinctively reluctant to answer.
It wasn’t that she was being petty or overly suspicious, I was just that her ex–husband was insufferable!
genuinely
Besides, Sophia was his mother.
Although Sophia had never tried to speak on his behalf or push for their reconciliation, as a mother, would she really go against her own son and stop him from doing what he wanted?
Ellis let the phone ring all the way through without the lightest intention of answering.
