Coming back, I did a plan.

“That idiot, asked everyone to come, and
acted like he was the CEO of the company, I
was giggling to myself.”
I said “Then make sure to hold it in. It’s only
going to be revealed soon”
My best friend nodded and looked like she
was enjoying herself.
“I called a film crew, so that everything could
be saved. If Chris wants to say anything on
the internet, then I’ll show him.”
“Thank you, you are the best!”
The car started going. and then I saw the

venue and that he had put so much money
into it.
When I got off, there was the red carpet,
roses, music, and sunshine.
Chris was at the end wearing a suit.
I took a breather, and then remembered all of
this, so many times.
“Hailey, in front of all of my parents and
friends, I want to tell everyone that I love
you.”
“Hailey, I want to give you everything I own.
You can take my life.”

“Will you marry me?”
Grabbing the microphone, I leaned over and
said.
I could see Chris‘ trembling, and I could see
his face.
But then next part of the story changed.
“Your life? Some worthless life! Why would I
need that.”
I saw Chris‘ nearly broken face.
“Hailey, what are you saying? Don’t joke with

me,.”
Chris started sweating, and the murmuring
started.
He wasn’t dumb, and still tried to salvage the
situation by lifting the ring. “Hailey, I got this
for you. I can wait until you are ready to get
married.”
So romantic!
I was just laughing inside.
I had to slap them. My friend was quick to
press the button, and then the video came on
with a lot of back–end people.
While they were courteous on the outside,
they had ulterior motives in the office.
The video then went on to say how all of this
was.
“What is all of this about,” I asked.
Everything was coming together.
“Hailey, you have to listen! It’s not like that! I
never knew that my parents were there.
“I was jealous of the bond that you and your
mom had, but how could I say no to my
parents. All of these people were my relatives.
I just wanted that family.”
