“Her aura was pretty much the same. Let’s change and head up to her dorms. We’ll use Alana as an excuse,” I said.
I needed to know if my baby was okay and maybe try to squeeze some information about her past out, since Lars wasn’t all that helpful.
I sighed!
We had our work cut out for us, but hell if my baby wasn’t already worth it.
Just wait, my little fire cracker, you’ll be ours in no time.
Samuel POV:
I was seething from inside, and I was sure Cameron sailed the same boat. Our little firecracker just had to go and emphasize that fucking alpha’s and her relationship.
How dare she?
But at the same time, I knew it wasn’t her fault, she didn’t know she was ours, but still, the rejection hit pretty hard. I had no clue what made her snap and be snarky all of a sudden. She was respectful until something flickered in her eyes when we offered her to come to us when she needed anything.
What was going on in that mind of hers?
With her attitude, the whole mission to woo her was going to be complicated. She didn’t seem the type to submit easily, and with her being our mate, our command wouldn’t even work on her either, not

like we planned to use that on. That would be a whole new low for us. She was our mate, our equal, we would never command her on purpose. This whole thing needed precision and well–thought–out planning!
Our eyes trailed over her legs and stayed on her swaying ass as she all but stomped towards her room, only looking away when she shut the door. I could feel my dick harden under my shorts, making me squirm. I didn’t need a boner in front of my baby sister right now. Before Cam or I could say anything, Alana spoke up.
“What the hell is wrong with you both!” Alana hissed.
Cam clamped her mouth with his hand and glared at her when she tried prying it off. He dragged her outside their dorm in the hallway, and just as I closed the door, I heard Cam curse. Turning around, I see him holding his hand, glaring at Alana as she giggled. I couldn’t help but chuckle. The little she–devil bit him.
“What the fuck, Alana! You fucking bit me.” Cam gritted, rubbing his hand.
I rolled my eyes. He was being overdramatic. He was a freaking prince, soon–to–be king. A little she–wolf bite would be a tickle to him.
“Who knows where that hand was? I could’ve gotten a breakout. Did you see how clear my skin has been these past few days?” Said Alana, patting down her cheeks.
Cam and I gave her a blank stare. Girls and their priorities were sometimes baffling. But seeing we had a mate now who seemed to be like our sister, we had better get used to all these mind–bobbling things. Hopefully, she isn’t as dramatic as Alana, but chances of that seemed low, with how fast her mood flipped.
“We don’t have time for this. Did you find anything else out about our

mate, Alana?” I asked.
“Not really. Before we could get into her life, you guys came along and about that, what the hell is wrong with you guys!” Alana hissed.
Cam and I gave her confused looks.
What was she going on about now?
Seeing our confused looks, she mumbled about boys being intellectually challenged and then looked at us.
“Since I fear this much knowledge will be too much for your puny little brains, I’ll lay it down in kindergarten words for your dumbasses. The double meaning of wanting anything was clear as water. With your track record with she–wolves, anyone would think you’re trying to get them into bed. Second, the pet names? Like seriously, you made her awkward as hell. Trainers or not, your princes, the future kings and that behaviour would be as confusing as hell for her, especially with all the touching, since everyone knows royals rarely engage in physical contact unless training. And last, you can’t wolf out every time she mentions that fiancé of hers. I know she’s your future mate, and your possessive levels will be way more than the average alpha, but she doesn’t know that. You need to reel in your emotions, or you’ll push her away rather than win her.” Said Alana.
I knew whatever Alana said was right, but fuck, it was easier said than done. She didn’t have a potential mate at risk of mating with another, not to mention that the so–called mate had been in love with the wolf for forever. We didn’t want to admit it, but we were scared. What if we can’t make her see reason, and she actually leaves us? Cameron and I would be devasted. Our wolves were already vicious, and if we lost our mate, goddess forbid, we would go rabid, no doubt.
