My friends always said that I was too good to Steve, but he didn’t appreciate it.
“If you give him the cold shoulder and make him, feel a little bit threatened, let’s see if he still dares to act like this.”
So this time, I didn’t back down during the argument:
A week later, he voluntarily made peace.
Abouquet of flowers, a meal, an apology.
I thought this was his change
But unexpectedly, he saw the message sent by that person.
She said, “Go apologize to Josie.”
When I came out of the bathroom, Steve was on the phone.
He said, “Hmm, don’t worry, I know.”
After saying that, the phone hung up
The smile on his face had not yet faded, and his mood was noticeably much brighter than when he first came to see me
My action of combing my hair came to a halt, and my heart skipped a beat. There was no way around it, when you are too familiar with someone, doubt can arise with just one sentence
There was nothing inappropriate in this sentence
But his tone was too submissive.
Just like a grumpy Little dog whose fur was smoothed out by someone
He was completely unlike himself.
So I couldn’t help bur ask, “Who?”
“Who were you calling?
Steve’s expression became a little dull.
He said, “Are you hungry? You go blow dry your hair first, I’ll go cook!”
After saying that, he entered the kitchen.
His phone was placed on the coffee table.
It was like a huge temptation. I couldn’t resist and took it!
The first thing I looked at was the call log, the most recent one being Vivian Ashley.
I was stunned for a moment
How could it be Vivian?

Steve’s voice suddenly rang out
I looked up and our eyes met. He had a calm face, but his gaze was extremely cold.
He approached me step by step.

“Josie, I asked you, what did you want to search for?”
He held his phone in front of me.

“Whe was I just on the phone with? Yes, that’s right, I was just on the phone with Vivian. And then? Josie, do I have to report to you every time I have a conversation with someone? Do I have to tell you about every phone call- and message Emake every day?”
He straightened up and threw the phone onto the sota. His voice was cold, “You search, I’ll search for you!”
Steve was angry.
Anger was tinged with disappointment
His intense emotions left me stunned in place.
My thoughts were in a state of confusion for a moment, until we both fell silent and confronted each other, slowly returning to calmness
Why did I have to check Steve’s phone?
Because of his gentleness, because of his obedience.
This was not Steve’s character.
He has always been a stingy person, even when talking to me, he acts all high and mighty.
He did not speak sweet words, nor did he speak softly and gently.
Arabella had enough of the farce and calmly called the security, “Escort them out.”
1 smiled and said, “Because I know him.”
I knew by his tone of voice that he already knew he was wrong.
I understood the expression he had, as he had already lowered his head.
I didn’t need him to say those words out loud, I understood them all. So, when he softened his attitude towards others, how could I not have doubts in my
mind?
Facing Steve’s gaze, I picked up his phone again.
With a sneer from him, I clicked into their chat window,
The most recent conversation took place in the early morning.
Haven’t you made up with Josie yet?
“Hmm”
What’s wrong with you? Didn’t I ask you to apologize earlier?
You don’t care
“Steve, apologize quickly.”
“You don’t understand! Vivian, she was different from you”
Of course, she was different from me, so that’s why you liked her and not me,
right?
Steve did not reply to this sentence.
After three minutes of silence, Vivian said, “Go apologize to Josie.”
Steve, you listen!”
