Emma was connected to an IV drip. She looked frail, and there was a bitter smile on her lips.
“Gigi, I had a dream last night. In my dream, a little girl was crying as she told me not to give up on her and that she would behave. well.“!
Emma choked up, which was unlike her. Her eyes turned red, and she continued, “But I still chose to give her up. Gigi, do you think that I was too ruthless?”
Before lying down on that operating table, Emma had acted as if she was fine.
However, while she was lying there, everything that she tried to avoid thinking about had popped up in her mind. The physical pain she felt had intensified her feelings of grief.
It was only now that Emma belatedly realized that she had once been a child’s mother, albeit very briefly.
Giselle held Emma’s hand tightly to comfort her. She said gently, “You made the right choice. She’ll understand why you did it.”
Apart from whether or not the fetus would be healthy, Emma would probably end up entangled further with Larry if she had chosen to give birth to the child.
As an onlooker, Giselle could tell that Emma wasn’t really over it yet. She still loved Larry, but she couldn’t forgive him for having an affair.
Everything Emma had done was to leave herself with no way of turning back. She would let time heal her wounds.
Emma turned over, and a tear trickled out of the corner of her eye. She said, her voice muffled, “Gigi, I want to sleep for a while. I’m so tired.”
Giselle sat on a long bench in the corridor.
People kept coming and going in front of her, and she took the time to look through the messages that had come in from her live Stream
She did a live stream regularly four times a week, and the rest of the time, she would use the contributions that fans sent to create videos that were aimed at helping them solve their problems.
Giselle was unbeatable when it came to analyzing people’s psychology. She was always so accurate that it had attracted a group of
female fans.
She categorized the questions that had been sent in according to their types and finally chose from among them at random.
This time, she picked a question regarding a blind date.
Giselle analyzed the fundamentals of the list of criteria that the sender had listed out. She had found herself another niche.

She copied and pasted the words into her notes app so that she could shoot the video when she got home.
Giselle waited for Emma to be done with her IV drip, and once the doctor had confirmed that everything was fine, she drove
Emma home.
The caretaker that Emma had hired beforehand had prepared lunch.
Emma didn’t have much of an appetite, so she had a bowl of soup and shut herself in her room.
Giselle sighed softly. Before she left, she sent Emma a message. “Once you get back on your feet, I’ll go drinking with you. Let’s: get drunk.”
It was still early, so Giselle went to the supermarket to get some daily necessities.
After she had paid the bill and left, a woman who was in a rush crashed into her. Giselle’s items were scattered all over the ground.
“I’m sorry. Let me help you pick them up.” The woman had a gentle voice, and she apologized as she bent over to pick up everything that had dropped.
“It’s alright.”
Stone!”
Giselle picked up her bags once more and was about to leave when the woman called out to her in surprise. “Ms. St
“Do you k
know me?” Giselle was sure that she had never seen the woman before.
Julia shook her head, then nodded. “I’ve seen you before, Ms. Stone. However, you might not have seen me.”
“Huh?”
Julia glanced at the time. “Ms. Stone, could you wait a few minutes for me? I’m going to buy something, and then I’ll treat you to a cup of coffee.”
She had eyes that looked lively, and they seemed to sparkle.
Giselle was curious about her, so she didn’t refuse the invitation. “Alright.”
After 20 minutes, the two of them sat down face–to–face in the café opposite the supermarket.
“Ms. Stone, I met you at Mr. Fordham’s
house.”
