Chapter 47
Noticing the confused look on Giselle’s face, Julia added, “Do you remember the night you spent at Mr. Fordham’s?”
How could Giselle forget? That had been the night she bit Chester.
The embarrassing scene flashed across her mind, and she tried her best to remain calm. “Were you there that day too?”
There were eans
up the next day,
gaps in her memory of that day. When she had woken up
the ori
only person she had seen was Chester.
If Julia and Chester had a special relationship, then the reason they were having this conversation would be clear.
“Don’t misunderstand, Ms. Stone. I went over there with my mentor. You had been drugged, and I’m a woman, so it made things easier,” Julia explained quickly; she could tell that Giselle’s mind was straying.
Giselle belatedly realized what she meant and asked suddenly, “You were the one who changed my clothes?”
Julia nodded. “What’s the matter?”
Giselle remained silent. She couldn’t exactly say that she had assumed that Chester had changed her clothes. It would make her
seem very conceited, and it was a very awkward subject to raise.
“Nothing,” she said quickly.
Julia was curious, but she didn’t ask further.
She said, “Actually, I would probably have come to visit you if I hadn’t bumped into you today, Ms. Stone.”
Giselle guessed that there was something Julia wanted to see her about. She considered it for a moment and asked, “Do you want to ask me for relationship advice?”
Giselle had been very popular in the industry as a relationship counselor. If Jonathan hadn’t disapproved of her showing her face, she would have made a name for herself long ago.
Julia was sm
smiling gently, and her eyes were crinkled up into half–moons. “It’s true that nothing escapes you, Ms. Stone. beat around the bush, then.
I won’t
“I’m deeply in love with my first love, but we broke up. He went abroad to get treated for his condition, and it was possible that he would never return.”
Julia’s eyes were sad and full of yearning.
She then added, “I couldn’t accept it, so I found a replacement.”
Giselle choked on her water. She coughed so much that a flush appeared on her fair skin.
“A replacement?” she asked, shocked.
Julia was pretty and gentle–looking. She looked very poised, as if she would never fight for anything.
Giselle found it very hard to believe that someone like her would actually try to get a replacement.

Julia was very honest. “Things between the current guy and I aren’t official yet. Neither of us is saying anything, so I guess that
we’re in the ambiguous stage. However, I now want to end this relationship.”
Julia met Giselle’s eyes, and there was a sudden, perplexed look in her eyes. “Ms. Stone, I should be happy that my first love is coming back. Why do I feel so upset when I think about the fact that I’m going to have to cut ties with Hector?”
This was the first time in Giselle’s career that she had come across such a situation. She thought carefully about what Julia had said, and she asked suddenly, “Who did you say you want to cut ties with?”
“Hector.”
After leaving the café, Giselle felt very conflicted. She had never imagined how small the world was.
The partner
that Hector had been doing his best to hide from everyone was Juli
Now, both of them had come to her to ask about relationships.
One was asking her how to make the other happy. The other was asking how to bring up a separation without getting upset.
It was the first time that Giselle had felt at a loss.
She was human, not a god.
However, when she had told Hector’s fortune for him, it had mentioned an old flame of his that was still around him.
