Chapter 80
Lily didn’t answer Giselle’s question. The two of them remained silent until Lily finally trembled and stood up. Her voice sounded.
hoarser than before.
She hung her head low, and her hair fell on both sides of her face, covering her disheveled look. “Ms. Stone, I’m begging you.
Please help me. I can’t lose Yves…”
Yvonne was the only piece of hope in her life. She didn’t dare even recall the scene of discovering Yvonne in the bathtub. The
entire tub of water was dyed red with blood, making it look extremely jarring.
“Mrs. Sullivan, the only person who can save her is you,” Giselle said.
Lily found herself caught in a dilemma. After a while, she finally relented. “What should I do?”
Giselle and Lily exchanged contact information.
Lily wasn’t in a suitable state for a discussion, with her emotions running high. Giselle asked to get some rest for tonight. She figured Yvonne probably wouldn’t want to see her looking so disheveled.
Upon Lily’s return to Yvonne’s hospital room, she was quite surprised to see Jim waiting in there.
He sighed and said, “Mrs. Sullivan, someone has reported you to the police for assaulting people. I’m going to have to trouble you
to come with us.”
He expressed his sympathy for Lily and Yvonne’s plight, but regardless, handling it with extreme methods would only make things worse. Of all the people to target, why did it have to be the precious daughter of the Grant family?
Lily had expected this long ago. She wiped away the tears on her face and asked Jim to give her a few minutes. She then asked
Brady Sullivan to come and take care of Yvonne.
She walked to the side of the room, anxiously waiting for the other end to answer the call.
Finally, at the last dial tone, a male voice came through the phone. “Lily, I told you not to disturb me while I’m filming. Did you
not understand what I said?”
The man’s voice was loud, and even if someone weren’t deliberately trying to eavesdrop, they would still be able to hear him
clearly.
Lily closed her eyes in eyes in pain, endured the sharp pain she felt in her heart, and said, “Brady, Yves attempted suicide and is
now in the hospital-”
Before she could finish speaking, Brady impatiently interrupted, “What does that have to do with me? I have other things to do. Don’t call me, or else I’ll block you!”
The two mechanical beeps sounded particularly jarring when they echoed through the quiet hospital room.

After a while, Lily suddenly looked at Giselle and pleaded, “Ms. Stone, can I please ask you to take care of Yvonne? I’ll pay you…”
To her, Giselle was undoubtedly the best savior she could turn to now.
Giselle didn’t expect Lily to pay her much either. After looking at the money she transferred over, Giselle turned off her phone and said, “Okay.”
Once Lily left, the only ones remaining in the room were Giselle and Yvonne. She sat down by the hospital bed, contacted Emma, and explained the whole story to her.
Emma cursed at the Grant family once more. After she calmed down, she suddenly asked, “Gigi, did you just say Lily called a man named Brady?”
“Yeah, I did. Why?”
Emma sent her a photo of a male celebrity.
Giselle thought he looked familiar, and she soon remembered where she had seen him before. He was the ambassador for one of Grant Group’s product lines–Brady Sullivan.
Compared to previous years, Grant Group’s overall profits increased by many degrees thanks to the product.
Emma said, “If Brady Sullivan really is Lily’s husband, and his reputation goes down the drain, will Grant Group lose billions of dollars?”
“They could.”
Wrongdoers would get what was coming to them. Plus, it seemed like retribution was already on its way.
Giselle stayed until dinnertime before leaving the hospital.
The elevator stopped at her floor with a ding, and when the doors opened, she was greeted with the sight of two people kissing.
