Chapter 19
Chester grabbed Giselle’s roaming hands and forced her to face him. He asked, “Who am I, Gigi?”
Who was he?
Giselle was lost for a moment. Then, the heat took over her again. “Jonathan…”
The rest of the sentence was incoherent, but mentioning that name itself was enough to make Chester’s expression darken.
..I’m so hot,” she mumbled.
If she hadn’t brought up Jonathan’s name, Chester would probably have been willing to help her cool down before they reached
his villa. Now, however…
He wrapped his coat around her again and had the driver turn the A/C to the lowest. “Hang on.”
The driver sped up; the amorous atmosphere had dissipated.
Giselle felt tormented. She wanted to break free of Chester’s hold but was too weak. Ultimately, she bit his arm, almost as if
venting her frustration.
He frowned, his expression grim. But when he looked at her face, he couldn’t help softening. “Jonathan’s unworthy of you, Gigi.”
As soon as Chester and Giselle arrived at his villa, Hector, who was already waiting there, administered a sedative. Shortly after,
she fell asleep.
Hector clucked his tongue as he watched Chester carefully carry Giselle to the room. Even though he and Chester were good friends, he couldn’t help thinking what a sly fox his friend was.
Giselle had just broken up with Jonathan, yet Chester was already setting a trap to lure her into his arms. Couldn’t he at least give
her some time to enjoy being single?

It looked like Chester had truly fallen this time.
Hector dropped his gleeful expression and gave his female apprentice a look. “Follow them and see whether they need help with anything.”
The woman was surprised. “Me?”
“Uh–huh. Why else do you think Chester told me to bring you along? He’d kill me if I were to see things I shouldn’t.” Hector knew. exactly what Chester was thinking. The latter looked like a perfect gentleman but was secretly incredibly possessive. People like
him were the scarlest.
He had been lucky enough to witness Chester in his element once–it was an experience he would never forget.

Giselle’s sleep was restless that night. She felt like she was caught in lava; it was going to melt her. Both her body and mind had gone through a lot, so she felt like she’d been in a car crash when she woke up.
Her mind was empty for a split second before the memories of last night flashed in her mind. She pieced everything together but only remembered what had happened up to the point when Phil had reached for her.
She turned ashen and looked down at herself. When she saw she was fully clothed, she sighed in relief.
Just then, someone knocked on the door, pulling her out of her reverie.
“Come in,” Giselle said. She couldn’t conceal her surprise when she saw Chester appear. What was he doing there?
He wore casual loungewear, and his demeanor was relaxed. He held a hangover remedy. “Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”
Giselle answered, “I’m just dizzy.”
She hesitated, then started, “Mr. Fordham, about last night…”
He handed her the hangover remedy. “Drink this first.”
She did as told. Chester averted his gaze after taking in her pale face. He asked, “Did Jonathan leave you there alone last night?”
