Chapter 39
In the dimly lit stairwell, Giselle was held by Chester’s burning hand around her waist. Their bodies were pressed together, and
their breaths intertwined.
On the wall, their shadows overlapped, creating an air of intimacy.
“Gigi, help me take off my glasses.” Chester’s hoarse, pleasant voice carried a hint of gentle coaxing. As he kissed her collarbone, his warm breath sent shivers down her spine.
Giselle’s long lashes fluttered lightly. Her fair arms draped over his broad shoulders, and a soft moan slipped from her lips.

Her mind was in disarray. She did whatever Chester said.
As she removed his glasses, the barrier between them was gone. Chester’s kiss grew even more daring.
Slowly, he moved upward, and Giselle surrendered to his tenderness.
Suddenly, another person burst into the stairwell.
“Giselle! You whore! How dare you seduce my uncle?”
Jonathan’s expression was like that of a husband catching his wife cheating on him..
Giselle immediately jolted awake.
Her hair was damp with sweat, and her dazed eyes stared at the white ceiling above. It took a while before she could gather her thoughts.
Her fair skin was tinged with a faint blush. She felt ashamed of herself for having such a dream at the age of 25, especially since the man in it was the unattainable Chester.
Although her dream was interrupted, it didn’t change the fact that she had fantasized about Chester. She felt too ashamed to face
him now.
This was all Emma’s fault for constantly telling her that she should be Jonathan’s aunt.
No one should know about this. Giselle decided to bring this dream into her grave.
After getting up and getting ready, she began searching for a livestreaming platform. She wouldn’t consider the large companies domestically. It would be absurd if she did.
After offending several prominent families, signing with a big company would practically be offering herself up for destruction.
Giselle wasn’t that foolish.
After considering several platforms, she finally settled on a newly registered one.

After noting down the contact information, she quickly made the call. She explained her purpose, sent over her résumé, and was
told to wait for further notification.
Giselle was smart. She didn’t put all her eggs in one basket. She cast a wide net and waited to see
The waiting process was always long.
see who would bite first.
During this time, Hector texted her. He briefly explained the situation but didn’t fill out the form.
Giselle didn’t push it.
Everyone had their secrets they didn’t want others to know. As long as it didn’t harm her interests, she was happy to play dumb.
She read and reread Hector’s message several times but couldn’t find anything that could have led to the tension between him
and the woman.
Hector asked, “How should I make it up to her, Ms. Stone?”
Giselle typed her reply. “Is it possible that she heard something from someone else, and that’s why she’s ignoring you?”
Based on Hector’s description, she deduced that the person he was trying to make up with was a quiet, introverted woman who
wasn’t good at expressing herself.
To know more, she e would have DO meet
the person herself.
Hector replied, “I didn’t do anything wrong. Who would dare spread rumors about me?”
Giselle asked him if he could provide the names and birthdates of both parties.
Hector didn’t hesitate and sent them over. Using this information, Giselle turned to her tarot cards for guidance.
Five minutes later, she sent her response. “An old flame is interfering with your relationship.”
Hector was stunned by her message.
An old flame?
But Julia had never been in a relationship. That meant it was his ex.
Hector didn’t reply. Instead, he transferred five million dollars to Giselle’s account.
