With the ten million dollars Giselle had managed to get from Jonathan, she now had a total of 16 million.
She had initially planned to split the ten million with Emma, but the latter refused to take a cent.
Emma’s exact words were, “You keep it. Do I look like I need money? After divorcing Larry, we split the assets down the middle. If you’d known me sooner, Jonathan would’ve had it worse!”
Giselle reluctantly accepted the money. She decided to donate half of the ten million, under both her and Emma’s names, to poverty–stricken areas in the mountains. After all, one should do some good deeds.
She cleaned the house while waiting for a response from the companies. She applied to nine different companies, but eight rejected her.
The reason was always the same. “Our boss had someone read the company’s fortune. We can’t sign the contract with anyone named Stone.”
Giselle had expected this, but luckily, the first company she applied to passed her through smoothly. She could sign the contract online–simple and straightforward.
Her income would be based on a revenue split, and she had the freedom to set her own streaming schedule. How much she could earn depended entirely on her own abilities.
When she checked the legal representative’s name of the company, she saw it was a man surnamed Quinton.
That solved her second big problem.
Giselle let out a long sigh of relief. She stretched lazily and treated herself to a big meal.
The entire month of July was peaceful in Seaworth City.
Just as Chester had predicted, the issue with Phil eventually fizzled out.
Meanwhile, the Cross family was exposed for their scandals. Their company was quickly acquired, and they went bankrupt.
Chester’s influence had been pivotal in this turn of events.
This was the first time Giselle witnessed his ruthless efficiency. Rather than being scared, she felt a sense of admiration.
It seemed like they hadn’t seen each other in ages.
Due to the dream, Giselle was intentionally avoiding him..
Chester noticed this. He thought that he had scared her with his actions, so he became even more reserved. They only kept to

After learning this, Tony was taken aback. “Chet, when are you going to win Giselle over? If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have
signed her.”
The weather outside was sweltering, but the room maintained a pleasant coolness.
Faced with Tony’s concern, Chester gave him a cold glance, “What’s the rush?”
In Chester’s circle, Tony was the youngest. At just 22, he was impatient, had a big mouth, and couldn’t keep a secret.
“Why not rush? Chet, have you never thought someone else might beat you to it? What if Giselle comes to her senses and realizes Jonathan isn’t beyond saving, and they get back together?”
Tony paced nervously. He practically wanted to force Chester to confess his feelings for Giselle right then and there.
But, of course, he didn’t dare.
He was anxious even when Chester–the man involved–wasn’t
Chester took a sip of his coffee. His gaze was fixed on it with an indifferent expression. “Even if you get back together with your
first love, she won’t reconcile with Jonathan.”
Tony was speechless. “Chet, where do you get that confidence?”
Giselle and Jonathan had been together for seven years! Could they really just end it like that? If it weren’t true love, he’d be doing
a headstand on a live stream.
At this rate, how long would it take for Chester to win Giselle over?
Chester didn’t bother offering any further explanation. He glanced at the time. Giselle’s live stream had started.
He clicked into it first, and his golden title secured the top spot in her live stream.
The number of viewers in the top right corner gradually increased.
The camera angle only showed a blank piece of paper, as Giselle was doing a relationship advice session without showing her
face.
After half a month of buildup, she had gained her first batch of loyal fans.
Following the usual opening, she got straight to the main topic of the day.
