Chapter 12
Braylon didn’t relax because of that. “Meeting Ramiro is one matter, surviving this crisis is another.”
Cayden’s strained voice betrayed mounting pressure. “The rumors are spreading. Apart from the projects related to GeekFlux Group, our prospective partners are delaying plans. As for the stocks…”
He trailed off, and the family fell silent again.
Theresa said anxiously, “What shall we do? If Ramiro still refuses to budge when we see him the day after tomorrow, will we have to suffer this unjust loss?”
Belinda sighed. “If only we had signed the contract earlier. Even if Ramiro backed out, the sky–high compensation would’ve cushioned
this blow…”
Cayden pressed his lips without saying a word.
Braylon’s face darkened. “What does a housewife know about business? Contracts are not to be signed recklessly. We endeavor to maximize our profits, with which we developed to where we are today.”
He turned to Cayden, “Contact our regular clients and current partners. Divert all the projects intended for GeekFlux Group and minimize the loss.”
Cayden exhaled heavily. “I called them this morning, but they all declined politely.“”
Braylon turned livid..

Sylvia’s low voice broke the silence, “Why don’t we approach the Wyatt family?”
As all eyes snapped to her, Sylvia continued, “Mr. Wyatt came to the birthday banquet last night. Given our marriage alliance, surely the Wyatt family won’t sit back and do nothing. ”
She met Jayvion twice. His face sculpted like a fallen angel, radiating. dangerous charm that even outshone A–list actors, who were known for their handsome faces.
It was a pity that he was a cripple with a bad temper. Otherwise, Yesenia wouldn’t have gotten engaged to him.
“That’s right.”
Like spotting a piece of driftwood in the vast sea, Braylon’s face lit upt with ecstasy. “It’s slow to distribute the projects to the other companies, and the Wyatt family can take on this whole project easily.”
He strode up to Sylvia and gave her shoulder a hearty pat, eyes gleaming.
“Sylvia, your grandmother was right. You’re saving us all.”
Theresa said proudly, “Yeah. Sylvia is our lucky star. With her around, things will go smoothly.”
Basking in praise, Sylvia smiled, her eyes dripping with pride.

Yesenia asked Ramiro to do a few things for her. Meanwhile, the Carson family called her twice. She took a glance and blacklisted the number.
Suddenly, a servant knocked on the door and said, “Mr. Wyatt’s pet has

to be fed every day. The pet tamer is on vacation. You’ll do it today.”
Yesenia muttered, “Jayvion is a pervert, yet he had the compassion to keep pets?”
She despised herself for misjudging Jayvion upon entering the sprawling tropical rainforest simulation in the backyard and spotting a two–meter–long crocodile floating motionless in the pond.
How could she suspect Jayvion had compassion?
She was as absurdly stupid as Vicente.
The servant pointed to a distant wooden bucket, giving her an encouraging look. “That’s Nemo’s breakfast. It only eats when the food
is fed to its jaw.”
Yesenia thought she heard it wrong. “It’s called Nemo?”
“Yes, Mr. Wyatt named it.”
“He started to raise this kind of animal after the accident?”
“No. It was the gift he asked from Sir Wallace on his seventh birthday.”
Yesenia was speechless.
Wow, so Jayvion had been a pervert since childhood.
His pet Nemo only ate food that was fed to its jaw, just like himself.
What a bad crocodile.
Yesenia rolled up her sleeves and unlatched the small iron gate, going inside with the bucket of fish.
An international conference projected on the wall in the study at the manor showed overseas subordinates debating over a development project in different languages.
Jayvion leaned against the armrest. listening with detached elegance, his strikingly handsome features composed.
The door was ajar, and he saw a servant approach Rohan and say something. Rohan looked worried and glanced at him, not daring to
disturb him.
Jayvion gave a faint smile and checked on the surveillance. footage of Tropical Rainforest Garden.
On the screen, the huge crocodile and Yesenia’s delicate figure formed a comical contrast.
Leaning back leisurely, he shamelessly indulged in this distraction.
The massive crocodile, territorial by nature, fixed its amber eyes on
Yesenia the moment she entered its domain.
Yesenia maintained steady steps toward it, alert but unwavering.
Two meters away, the crocodile began crawling toward her, its front. legs scraping the ground.
Yesenia came to a halt and tossed a fish toward its jaw.
To her surprise, the crocodile glanced at the fish, motionless.
“Damn it.”
Did she have to feed the fish to its jaw?
Yesenia didn’t believe it.
Chapter
She glanced at the crocodile’s fat belly and abruptly set down the bucket of fish, circling behind it.
Surprised, the crocodile tracked her movement until she disappeared. from its frontal vision.
Seizing the moment when it tried to turn around. Yesenia grabbed the crocodile’s massive tail. As it thrashed violently to flip over, she yanked it backward with agile precision.
crocodile’s huge frame hindered its attacks. Snapping its jaw left and right, it failed to reach Yesenia, who gripped its tail tightly.
Spoiled. Jayvion’s pet gave up resisting within less than ten minutes. When Yesenia tugged at its tail, it sprawled on the ground lazily.
It was stupid, but it knew struggling was pointless.
Yesenia released its tail and tossed all the fish at the crocodile.
Humiliated, the crocodile turned rage into gluttony, devouring all the fish in three bites.
Dusting her pants, Yesenia strolled out the iron gate.
Watching this in the study, Jayvion chuckled softly for the first time.
That woman was good at angering not only him but also the crocodile.
Rohan knocked on the door and entered the study. When he saw the long–lost smile on Jayvion’s face, he beamed.
It delighted Rohan to see Yesenia’s pretty and confident face on the
screen.
He thought Yesenia was indeed Jayvion’s lucky star.
“Mr. Wyatt, we have visitors from the Mosley family.”
Javvion’s face returned to indifference, and he rubbed his chin with slender fingers. “Summon Yesenia.”
Visiting the manor for the first time, Sylvia stood awestruck by the magnificence surrounding her.
She had thought the Wyatt family was similar to the Mosley family in wealth. but now she realized she was ignorant.
Comparatively, the Mosley family was merely affluent merchants, while the Wyatt family had massive wealth!
“Cayden, is the Wyatt family so rich?”
Cayden nodded. “The Wyatt family is the leader of the five major families. The other four combined can’t rival it.”
Sylvia was shocked.
Hearing wheelchair motors, Sylvia wore her sweetest smile at the approaching man.
This was her third time meeting Jayvion, but she was still attracted to his strikingly handsome face.
She clenched her fists involuntarily.
Even if she didn’t want such a gorgeous man, Yesenia was not worthy
of him.
“Mr. Wyatt.”
Cayden went up to Jayvion and stretched out his hand politely.
Chapter 12
Jayvion wheeled past him to the far end of the hall, maintaining a distance from them.
He still looked imposing in the wheelchair. “What’s up?”
Cayden withdrew his hand, unruffled by Jayvion’s ignorance. He said calmly. “We came to discuss cooperation with you, Mr. Wyatt.”
“Cooperation?” Jayvion sneered. “Are you trying to force the rejected scraps on the Wyatt family?”
