Chapter 13
Yesenia happened to come through the side door and overheard the
conversation.
She raised her eyebrow slightly and paused, leisurely leaning against. the wall instead of going inside.
After she returned to the Mosley family In her previous life, she asked. Ramiro to secretly clear obstacles for their business, helping them to catch up with the other major families within a year.
This bred complacency and arrogance in the Mosley family.
It delighted Yesenia a lot to see Jayvion embarrass the Mosley family.
Cayden pulled a long face as Jayvion ruthlessly pointed out the truth.
Vicente clenched his fists tightly, trying to restrain himself.
If Cayden hadn’t warned him repeatedly not to act recklessly, he would have snarled at Jayvion.
How could a cripple sitting in a wheelchair act so arrogantly?
Though Sylvia despised Jayvion for his disability, his peerless countenance and elegance quickened her pulse.
Strangely, she found the man in the wheelchair more charming than Cayden.
Marrying him was not possible, but it would be a glory to have such a powerful man obsessed with her.
Sylvia had an idea and took a few steps toward Jayvion with a small
basket.
Unlike her brothers‘ unrestrained emotions, she balanced poised composure with softness. Her gentle features glowed as she shyly looked at Jayvion with bright eyes.
“I’ve been meaning to thank you properly for coming to my birthday banquet and giving me such an expensive gift… I made these cookies, and I hope you’ll like them.”
As she stretched out her hand, she leaned forward slightly. The pink diamond necklace slipped from her green dress, dangling against her collarbone.
Jayvion glanced at the woman, who stared at his face unblinkingly.
He asked, “Are you Sylvia?”
Sylvia’s eyes lit up. “Yes, I’m Sylvia.”
Jayvion actually remembered her?
Vicente couldn’t help but step in front of Sylvia protectively and stare at Jayvion alertly. “I warn you not to covet Sylvia.”
Yesenia almost burst out laughing when she saw Vicente protecting Sylvia like a beetle shielding its dung ball.
She was wondering how Sylvia managed to bewitch Vicente like this.
Yesenia glanced at Jayvion, who stared at Vicente as if looking at a fool.
There was undisguised disdain in his eyes.
Yesenia grinned.

Sylvia secretly rolled her eyes at Vicente, who got in her way. At the same time, she quietly edged toward Jayvion.
Before she got near Jayvion, Emanuel stopped her.
“Ms. Mosley, Mr. Wyatt doesn’t like outsiders to come close.”
“My apologies.” Sylvia said gracefully, “Mr. Wyatt, the Mosley Group suffers from minor problems, but with my brother’s ability, we’ll soon solve the crisis. I hope you can help us for the sake of the longstanding friendship between the two families…”
Jayvion leaned against the wheelchair and suddenly interrupted her, “Who gave you the necklace?”
Sylvia, who had been rejoicing that Jayvion still remembered her, was taken aback. “What?”
“That birthday gift was for the young lady of the Mosley family. How can you wear it so blatantly?”
Sylvia turned pale, her smile fading.
The cold diamonds on her neck now pricked her skin like thorns.
Without considering their feelings, Jayvion ridiculed them lazily, “The Mosley family drove my fiancee out. Without her, our engagement is void. What right do you have to make demands?”
He glanced at the shameful Sylvia and said meaningfully, “The Mosley family’s counterfeit substitution disgusts me.”
The three people could hardly restrain themselves.
Cayden frowned and said, “Mr. Wyatt, since you declined, we’ll take our leave.”

He turned to leave. Rohan went up to Sylvia and said, “Please return
the necklace to us.
Sylvia was exasperated.
She looked at Jayvion, but the elegant man didn’t even glance at her.
He had given his silent permission.
Bitterly humiliated, Sylvia tore off the diamond necklace and thrust it into Rohan’s hand.
Out of the manor and into the car, Sylvia shed tears uncontrollably.
“Cayden and Vicente, I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I’ve let you down…”
Being rejected by Jayvion, Cayden felt depressed, yet he couldn’t help. but soothe Sylvia when looking at her sad face. “Sylvia, this isn’t your fault.”
“Yeah, it’s not your fault. Jayvion has gone too far.”
Vicente quickly took out a tissue and wiped Sylvia’s tears, cursing, “It’s Yesenia’s fault. It’s because of her.”
Cayden frowned and disagreed, “What does it have anything to do with Yesenia?”
“It’s all her fault! Ever since she returned home, disasters big and small have been haunting us. Who else could’ve jinxed us but her? If she hadn’t cut ties with us at this critical moment, her engagement with Jayvion would be valid, and he wouldn’t have the excuse to sit back. and do nothing.”
Vicente slammed a fist into the car seat, his face flushed with rage. “All the good luck Sylvia brought us has been destroyed by that jinx Yesenia. What rotten luck!”
Cayden drove the car and fixed his eyes ahead. This time, he didn’t. argue with Vicente.
His brows knitted tightly, a swirling storm brewing beneath.
“Done watching the show?”
Yesenia strolled in leisurely from the side door, hands clasped behind. her back.
At the sight of her, Jayvion said disdainfully, “Brave enough to face. the crocodile, yet cowered outside from the Mosley family.”
Yesenia smiled and said flatteringly, “I was afraid that I would disrupt your shaming them.”
Jayvion looked at her with undisguised disdain. “What a bootlicker.”
Rohan looked at them with a broad smile.
Jayvion treated Yesenia differently with double standards.
Yesenia went up to Jayvion and offered to push his wheelchair forward
She bent slightly and whispered in Jayvion’s car, “I was touched when you stood up for me.”
She said that from the bottom of her heart.
No one in the Carson or Mosley families ever stood up for her.
But the fiance who didn’t marry her in the previous life did this for her
in this life.

Fate was good at teasing them.
Her warm breath tickled his earlobe.
Jayvion tilted his head instinctively, catching a glimpse of collarbone peeking from her high–collared blouse.
Her skin was fair, smooth, and warm. He didn’t see it that night, but he
could feel it in his daze.
Jayvion narrowed his eyes, which were dark and bottomless.
He pursed his lips, “You’re now my maid. Even curs have masters.”
Yesenia was speechless.
Was she touched? Not at all!
