Chapter 16
Today’s designer callback livestream should have been a niche event Today’s designer
with limited viewership.
But Ramiro had invested heavily in promoting it.
From the broadcast’s start, ads appeared not just across Kraitburgh, but on every digital billboard, public transit screen, and major streaming platform nationwide.
Curious viewers clicked in droves, sending viewership skyrocketing.
And what they saw first was this very scene.
The young amateur designer had defeated countless professionals to reach the callbacks, drawing admiration from the on–site audience and online viewers. Comments flooded the stream.
“Impressive! If she’s truly self–taught yet shows such remarkable talent, imagine how she’ll shake up the design world given time!”
“Isn’t that the Mosley heiress whose birthday made headlines recently? Rich kids don’t just get lucky births. They’re also exceptionally talented.”
“The wealthy really have it all. Her birthday party shut down the city with luxury cars lining the hotel entrance. Every millionaire in town must’ve attended.”
“Probably a PR stunt,” a skeptical viewer countered. “Online searches show she’s still a non–design major in college. If she were this good, she’d have been famous already.”
“I smell something fishy, too. The whole business world knows GeekFlux Group abruptly withdrew from Mosley partnerships overnight. They’re probably desperate and bought her this callback spot.” another speculated.
“Oh, please, she’s a blue–blood. Of course, she’d claim to be self–taught while hiring private tutors. Don’t be naive.”
“It can’t be true. Millions are watching this livestream. Any cheating will be exposed during the callback. The humiliation would be epic.”
“Her brothers dominate their respective fields. With those genes, why doubt her? Stop being jealous.”
The comment section kept overflowing with comments.
The commotion even reached Jayvion.
“Mr. Wyatt, Ms. Mosley is in the corner.”
In the Wyatt Edifice penthouse office, Jayvion was sipping his coffee when Emanuel handed him a tablet.
Jayvion’s deep eyes flicked across the screen, indifferent.
Beside him, Rohan murmured, “The Mosley family is surrounded by admirers with Sylvia at the center, while Ms. Yesenia stands alone in the distance watching. It looks rather pitiful.”
Jayvion scoffed, “She chose to go there. Serves her right.”
His mocking tone lingered as he glanced back at the livestream.
The stark contrast was undeniable. Sylvia basked in attention while Yesenia remained half–hidden in the corner, nothing but a pitiful
scene.

Jayvion tapped his slender fingers against the desk. “Did she say why she went to GeekFlux Group?”
Rohan hurried to answer, “Ms. Yesenia said she wanted to watch a
show.”
“A show?” Jayvion smirked. “How leisurely of her.”
He chuckled, then reached for a stack of documents. His eyes skimmed the pages rapidly before he signed his name hastily.
When he resumed work without another word, Rohan held his tongue.
He knew the boss‘ temper. Pushing further was pointless.
Just as he pitied Yesenia, Jayvion’s voice cut through, deep and commanding. “Prepare the car. It’s time to retrieve my maid.”
Rohan brightened. “Yes, sir!”

The callback began promptly as the venue doors closed.
The lights dimmed, focusing everyone’s attention on the stage.
The host delivered opening remarks before announcing the names of the participating designers, starting with “Delilah Franklin, Yesenia Mosley, Sylvia Mosley…”
The Mosleys‘ expressions darkened when they heard Yesenia’s name on the list, while Sylvia’s gaze turned intense, her hands clenching subtly.
Vicente lowered his voice and grumbled, “I knew it. Yesenia showing up here spells trouble! Last night, she swore she was done with the Mosley family, yet here she is. She’s jealous of Sylvia and always
wants to compete with her.”
“Sylvia,” Cayden asked, “did you know she entered the competition?”
Sylvia looked at him with wounded eyes. “I had no idea. She never tells me anything.”
Braylon remained silent for a moment before saying, “Let’s wait and see. If Yesenia gets selected, too, it might not be bad. More options mean more opportunities.”
To him, whether Sylvia or Yesenia succeeded, they were both stepping stones for the family company.
As long as one of them advanced to meet Ramiro, it would benefit the Mosley family.
Sylvia caught his implication, her lowered face briefly flashing with unnoticed resentment.
The host continued, “The names I’ve announced are today’s contestants. Those absent forfeit their eligibility.
“For today’s callback, your theme is ‘Hope‘. You’ll have five hours to draft your designs and create initial samples in our provided studios. Each of you will receive two professional assistants. The judges and live audience will vote for the winning designer.”
The announcement caused a stir.
True to its reputation, GeekFlux Group had spared no expense. Even a small design competition was executed with grand production.
Wealth certainly bought extravagance.
Once the rules were explained, the competition officially began.

Contestants moved to their private workrooms backstage to avoid distractions while the livestream continued..
Jayvion’s car had just pulled up downstairs when the livestream showed Yesenia entering her workroom.
Jayvion stared silently at the screen before turning sharp eyes toward Rohan. “You assured me she only requested half a day off.”
Rohan offered an awkward smile. “Mr. Wyatt, perhaps by half a day, Ms. Yesenia meant an entire daytime.”
Jayvion let out a scoffing laugh.
Emanuel turned from the driver’s seat. “Shall we return, Mr. Wyatt?”
Jayvion massaged his throbbing temples. “No.
“Huh?”
“Today I’m dragging her back personally.” His gaze turned dangerous.
After failing to punish her last night over the incident, he wouldn’t let her escape again.
That woman who dared serve him that disgusting food would pay.

In the eighteenth–floor workroom, Yesenia shivered suddenly.
She glanced around suspiciously and rubbed her nose.
How strange. She felt uneasy somehow.
Shaking her head, she looked toward the adjacent studio where Sylvia. was inside.
She already knew what Sylvia would design.
This entire show had been for Sylvia, and Yesenia trusted this “female lead” wouldn’t disappoint her.
Lowering her head, she began sketching her own design.
Five hours later, the host announced time was up.
The twelve contestants emerged in alphabetical order, with Yesenia and Sylvia standing side by side.
