My Dead Sister Returned 4
Chapter4
Ignoring his foolish younger brother, Jayvion narrowed his eyes at Yesenia.
His perfectly shaped lips curved into a cold, mocking smile. “Ms. Mosley, your attempt to attract my attention is rather crude.”
He had thought she was different from those other women who tried to get close to him. Apparently, not so.
Yesenia’s lips twitched slightly. Was he always this full of himself?
She repeated firmly, “It’s purely for optimal treatment results.”
Jayvion let out a sneer, clearly unconvinced by her righteous explanation.
Yesenia didn’t bother to explain further.
Harrison immediately stepped in front of Jayvion and grinned, eager to agree.
“Don’t worry, Yesenia. Just settle in here. I guarantee you’ll feel so at home that you won’t even want to go back to the Mosley family.”
Yesenia said, “I still need to go back to the Mosley family to pack up my things.”
Harrison hurriedly instructed the butler to prepare a car.
Just before leaving, Yesenia remembered something. “By the way, could I take a look at the results from the examination?”
Emanuel glanced at Jayvion and then stepped forward. “Ms. Mosley, you’re in excellent health. There’s no need to worry.”
Yesenia raised an eyebrow slightly as she took the results from Emanuel.
In her previous life, her health had sharply declined after donating a kidney. She had grown terribly frail.
Yet the data here showed she was in great shape.
According to the timeline from her previous life, the kidney donation would be happening within the next two months…
Yesenia lowered her gaze and tucked the results away.
After she left, Emanuel stepped forward and reported quietly, “There’s news about Wren Serrano.”
Harrison, who was busy instructing someone to prepare the guest room next to Jayvion’s, nearly jumped. “Wren?”
After Jayvion’s accident, the Wyatt family had poured all their resources into seeking treatment, but even the most renowned doctors at home and abroad had no solutions.
Their last hope lay with the top traditional medicine expert, Leandro Pratt.
However, Leandro had retired from Radiance Hospital years ago and had gone off to travel the world.
The last anyone had heard from him was when he sent word to Radiance Hospital that he had accepted a student named Wren Serrano. If Wren ever came to Radiance, they were to keep him. It showed just how much he valued Wren’s medical skills.
Emanuel nodded. “Yes, Mr. Harrison, it’s him.”
Harrison was elated. “Fantastic! There’s still hope for my brother’s leg! Where is Wren now?”
Emanuel replied, “The Mosley family released word that Wren is considering granting them rights to co-develop a new medication. The agreement is expected to be signed soon. We already have people monitoring Mosley Pharmaceuticals.”
Harrison beamed. “Perfect, the Mosleys are our in-laws after all. There’s no doubt the wedding between Yesenia and my brother will happen. Plus, she genuinely cares about his leg injury. Looks like we’ll soon locate Wren and get him to treat my brother!”
As for Yesenia saying she’d treat Jayvion’s leg herself, he figured that was just a playful exchange between husband and wife.
After all, with so many top doctors having failed, what could Yesenia really do? Maybe just give his brother a few massages?
Jayvion’s lips tightened slightly, and his gaze flickered with emotion.
Noticing the look on Jayvion’s face, Harrison leaned in with a grin. “I knew it. You’ve got a soft spot for your future wife.”
As his cousin, Harrison knew Jayvion better than anyone.
He had always been aloof, never close to women. Even during his most rebellious years, he stayed away from physical contact, especially during “those” three years.
After the accident, he had become even more unapproachable.
Yet Yesenia had changed that.
Harrison thought to himself, “Men never forget their first woman. Even the cold-hearted Jayvion isn’t immune to that spell!”
Of course, Jayvion could read every thought behind Harrison’s eyes.
He scoffed, lips tugging into a smirk. “Not just a soft spot.”
That woman had repeatedly provoked him without fear of death, even shamelessly throwing herself at him. How could he possibly let her off so easily?
Didn’t she want to stay “close” to treat his illness? Fine. He’d give her the chance. He would let her treat him properly!

The Mosley family…
Yesenia was packing in her room.
When she was brought back to the Mosley family a few months ago, she had only one backpack, a laptop, and a sketchbook.
Other than those, she brought nothing with her.
But no matter how hard Yesenia searched, she couldn’t find any trace of the sketchbook.
Her eyes scanned the modest guest room. It was less than twenty square meters in size. Hadn’t she last used it to draw a draft when Sylvia had come by two weeks ago to ask her to help pick out a birthday dress?
Without lingering, Yesenia grabbed her things and walked out.
As she opened the door, she saw Sylvia standing there, yet she didn’t know how long she had been standing there.
Seeing Yesenia with her luggage, Sylvia bit her lip, striking that same fake, pitiful pose as always.
“Sis…”
Yesenia couldn’t be bothered and walked past her without even glancing her way.
Sylvia choked on her words, her face briefly twisting before she managed to recover.
She turned to look at Yesenia’s graceful figure disappearing down the hall, her eyes dark and full of venom.
Ever since Yesenia returned to the Mosley family, she had been humble and obedient. She did everything she could to win the family’s recognition and affection. She’d even graciously accepted Sylvia as her “sister”, living with her in peace.
But Sylvia was never going to let her get what she wanted.
All it took was a few fake tears and a bit of manipulation, and Sylvia had successfully made the family believe that Yesenia was two-faced. That stirred their guilt toward Sylvia and their growing disgust for Yesenia.
Yesenia had suffered so much injustice, yet she had never fought back.
But tonight, she was like a completely different person!
She had humiliated her older brothers, talked back to her mother, and even shamelessly declared that she wanted to cut ties with the family…
Could it be… she found something out?
The thought crossed Sylvia’s mind, but she quickly dismissed it.
If Yesenia truly knew something, she would have exploded by now. There was no way she had just quietly asked to cut ties with the Mosleys.
Only a fool would give up being the Mosley heiress!
More likely, she was just jealous. That night, Sylvia alone had basked in the spotlight. Mom, Dad, and all of Kraitburgh’s elite were at the birthday party.
And Yesenia? She had been stuck in her room like a stray dog, completely ignored. The stark contrast must have filled her with bitterness and envy.
This whole dramatic outburst was probably just a stunt. She was just trying to force the Mosleys to pay attention to her.
Clearly, Yesenia had gotten smarter and simply changed her strategy.
Sylvia sneered. She was the Mosley family’s cherished princess. No matter how much Yesenia schemed, it wouldn’t change that.
Trying to steal her love and glory?
Dream on!
Just then, Sylvia saw a few people coming up around the bend in the stairs, and a glint flashed in her eyes.
She quickly caught up to Yesenia, speaking with urgency.
“Are you mad that no one celebrated your birthday tonight? I’m so sorry. I should’ve been more considerate. I was just being selfish, wanting to spend my last birthday with the Mosleys… I didn’t mean to upset you! It’s all my fault! I haven’t even opened the presents. They’re all yours. Everything they gave me, I’ll give to you…”
As she spoke, the two comers arrived at the top of the staircase.
Sylvia reached out as if to stop her, but in truth, she was putting force into it. She was trying to push Yesenia down the stairs.
But before she could even touch her, Yesenia sidestepped like a ghost and Sylvia, having lost her balance, pitched forward and fell down the stairs headfirst.
