“Hello? Hello? Doctor Wang!”
I shouted into the phone, my eyes bloodshot,
a desperate madman.
To maintain order, the customer service
manager and security guards forced me out.
Heavy rain suddenly fell from the sky, and the
temperature dropped sharply.
Like a headless fly, I desperately ran towards
the villa area from last night.
The security guard stopped me again.
Perhaps seeing my pitiful state, he made a
call to Johnny’s villa after my desperate pleas.
He then told me, “Mr. Sullivan isn’t home. His
housekeeper said he went to the Jingting
<
I rushed over, ignoring the guards‘
obstruction, desperately trying to break in.
“Johnny, Mr. Sullivan, please come out and
see me! I beg you!”
After five minutes of commotion, Johnny
finally appeared.
He looked down at me from above. “Neena,
what did you promise me yesterday? You
forgot so soon? You never tell the truth!”
He kicked me away and ordered, “Call the
police.”
I held onto his legs tightly, kneeling and
begging.
“Mr. Sullivan, I’ll take whatever you throw at

me! I beg you, give me a million. No, five
thousand, I only need five thousand! Lily has
had cardiac arrest, she needs this five
thousand for the surgery!
“Lily used to love to be around you, you
wouldn’t want her to die without surgery,
would you?”
Johnny frowned, pulling his leg back in
disgust. “Neena, you’re so vicious! You
wouldn’t even spare your sister to get
money?”
I crawled towards him, crying, “I’m not lying.
Please give me five thousand…”
The security guard pulled me away,
preventing me from approaching him.
く
Johnny stared at me, the crazy woman, and
suddenly smirked.
He beckoned, and someone immediately
leaned in.
I didn’t hear what he said, but the person
looked at me meaningfully before nodding
and leaving.
Despair overwhelmed me, and I screamed in
agony.
But Johnny remained unmoved.
The next second, several elderly voices, filled
with surprise, suddenly sounded behind me.
“Thank you, Mr. Sullivan, for your great
compassion! Mr. Sullivan will surely live a long
Johnny smiled, walked past me, took five
stacks of banknotes from the money box
opened by someone beside him, and
scattered them in front of the beggars.
Ethan leaned against the doorframe, shouting,
“Mr. Sullivan is treating you to lunch. You can
go after taking the money.”
The beggars scrambled for the banknotes,
thanking them before leaving.
Johnny glanced at me and turned to go back.
Watching his back, I suddenly wanted to
laugh.
He would rather give away a fortune to
beggars than to me, the person who had once
taken care of him.
I don’t know how I got back to the hospital. I
only know Lily’s body was in the morgue.
Dr. Wang’s “my condolences” echoed in my
ears.
I calmly handled Lily’s funeral arrangements.
When I returned home with her ashes, I could
no longer hold back and vomited a large
amount of blood.
Taking one last look at my empty home, I
smiled, closed the doors and windows, and lit
the charcoal I had prepared.
Lying back on the bed, looking at the urn
beside me.
“Lily, sister is coming to you.”
