Logan was larger than other children his age.
His eyes were vacant, he didn’t speak, and his temper was explosive.
In just a few minutes, he’d ripped the leaves
off every plant in the conference room, his
movements violent and aggressive.
And the most shocking part?
After his rampage, he crawled into Ashley’s
lap and, right in front of me, lifted her shirt
and began to breastfeed.
“Ow! You little beast, be gentle!”
Ashley feigned annoyance, swatting him
lightly.
Once he was finished, she looked at me with
a strange pride. “He’s very attached to me.
Other kids his age just want to be held, but
he can already hit people with a shovel! The
other kids in our neighborhood are terrified of
him! Sarah YOU Were right! He really is a

Hi! Galall, you were my! The really is a
superhero, my little protector! Hahahaha…”
I couldn’t decide who was more delusional.
Even knowing about the potential issues with
XYY syndrome, I hadn’t expected this level
of… “masculinity.”
I wondered if Ashley and Ryan would be so
amused when he turned his rage on them. I still remembered the agony of being
dismembered. Vividly.
Ashley, startled by the manic glint in my eyes, stopped laughing. “Sarah… are you… okay?”
I quickly composed myself, switching to my
helpful advisor persona.
“Doctors don’t know everything. They just
want your money. Boys develop at their own
pace. Logan seems energetic, not like a child
with problems. Don’t worry, Ashley.”
“As for Ryan… maybe I should talk to him?”
Ashley peddled pagerly
bushed her then
dialed Kyan’s number.
The moment I mentioned Ashley, his tone
turned sour.
“Sarah, you wouldn’t believe it. Ashley’s a completely different person now… fat, ugly, bad temper… I understand now. Women should be like you – beautiful, successful, independent… supporting Ashley is so stressful… ow! Sarah, I have to go.”
He hung up. Ashley’s eyes were red, but I felt
no sympathy.
She loved relaying messages, so I’d do her
the favor of letting her hear Ryan’s true
feelings.
“That bastard! I wouldn’t be like this if it
wasn’t for his child! Waaah!”
After offering some generic platitudes, I
suddenly adopted a hesitant, embarrassed
expression.
“Sarah, what else did he say? Tell me! I can

Oh really?
Here we go.
“Did you… hear anything… suggestive in the
background?”
Ashley froze, then bolted out of the room,
abandoning even Logan.
I leaned back in my chair, a smirk playing on my lips.
Years of petty squabbles were getting boring. Time for something more exciting.
