Chapter 1
My roommate Sophia Johnson found a cheap plastic surgery clinic online for her crush Christopher Harrington, planning to get cosmetic surgery during the break.
I was worried it was an illegal medical facility and patiently tried to talk her out of it.
Later, Sophia took my advice and gave up her plastic surgery plan.
But when school started again, Christopher actually confessed to
- me.
Sophia blamed me for deliberately stopping her from getting surgery so I could steal her crush.
She
got the other roommates to gang up on me, and later when we were arguing on the rooftop, she accidentally pushed me off the building.
When I opened my eyes again, I was reborn, back to the day Sophia was planning to get plastic surgery.

When I opened my eyes again, I found myself lying on my dorm bed.
I was reborn!
Sophia was shaking my arm, holding her phone in front of me.
“Amelia, do you think I should get plastic surgery? Christopher said he only cares about looks. This clinic has a student discount – minor procedures for just $500.”
Seeing me still in a daze, Sophia got anxious.
“I’m talking to you. Don’t you consider me a friend at all?”
Her words sent a chill down my spine.
In my past life, I cared about her too much as a friend. She said she wanted to get plastic surgery during summer break because Christopher liked beautiful women.
But her family wasn’t well–off and couldn’t afford surgery at a proper hospital, so she found a cheap clinic online.
I thought it seemed sketchy and spent the whole night trying to talk her out of it.
I told her that doctors at these small clinics might not have licenses, and that someone who truly loved her would accept all of her. I urged her to focus on reading and improving her abilities instead.
Finally, Sophia was convinced by me and chose to spend the
summer reading and enriching herself.
But right after the new semester started, Christopher confessed
to me.
Even though I rejected him, she was still convinced that
I deliberately stopped her from getting surgery to steal Christopher away.
So she got the other roommates to bully me together, not only locking me out but also spreading rumors about me.
Later, when I couldn’t take it anymore and we were arguing on the rooftop, she pushed me off the building.
Thinking about this, the hatred in my heart couldn’t be suppressed.
I looked at the anxious Sophia and said calmly, “Of course I consider you a friend. This clinic looks pretty good – if you want to go, you should try it.”
Sophia frowned at me. “Amelia, didn’t you always oppose me getting plastic surgery before? Why are you suddenly supporting
me?”

I said ealmly, “I was too narrow–minded before. Since to become beautiful, I shouldn’t oppose it. All guys like pretty
girls.”
Sophia’s expression became determined.
“You’re right. I’ll make an appointment right now and get the surgery as soon as break starts.”
Watching the excited Sophia, I sneered coldly.
If I remembered correctly, that shady clinic would have problems soon. The doctors there didn’t have licenses and used inferior drugs.
Plus, not long after the clinic opened, the doctor fled because of a medical malpractice incident.
I was really looking forward to seeing the results of her plastic
surgery.
