Catherine’s POV
After talking to James at his office, I went to lunch as scheduled. The lunch was arranged by Monica, who called to tell me that she would be bringing a
friend.
When I got to the calf, I asked the waiter for a table reserved for Ms. Woods. Woods was Monica’s surname. The waiter took me to my seat, and I saw that there was already a man sitting there. It was Felix, Tracy’s father. I was a little surprised. Was he the friend Monica said on the phone? What a coincidence. I went up and asked, “Hello, Sir! Do you remember me? I’m Adela’s mother.”
He smiled at me, reached out, and kissed the back of my hand. “Of course. How could I forget such a beautiful lady? Tracy talks about you all the time. I didn’t know you were the friend Monica mentioned.”
“Where’s Monica? Why isn’t she here?” He was sloting alone in his seat. I didn’t see Monica.

Now that I heard it, I knew what was going on, I called Monica after meeting James the last time. She thought I needed to start dating again, so she set me up with Felix. She thought we were both single parents and would have something in common.
I smiled awkwardly, thinking that I needed to call Monica I said to him, “Sorry, I need to make a call.”
The phone was connected, and I asked, “Mon, where are you? What’s this about?”
Monica smirked and said, “Isn’t that obvious? I am at the cinema next to the café watching a movie with the Idds. We will come to you after the movie. Enjoy your date!” Then she hung up the phone. When I called her back, I heard from the phone that she had turned her phone off. I had no choice. I couldn’t leave Felix there alone, so I went back to my seat.
I was glad that we enjoyed chatting with each other. When we talked about the kids, I could tell that Felix was a very attentive father. I couldn’t help but admire and praise him, “I’m glad to hear that. I have learned a lot.”
