The bank card has been frozen for days, and Mom and Dad still haven’t heard from me.
Finally, the private investigator brought them to a place.
The columbarium at the funeral home.
“Mr. Wyatt, Mrs. Wyatt.”
The private investigator shook his head, helpless.
“This is where I found Yulia Wyatt.”
“She succumbed to a severe illness three years ago. Her body went unclaimed, and after cremation, her ashes were placed here for public safekeeping.”
Dad stood frozen, unwilling to move. After a long silence, Mom, with trembling hands, finally took the heavy urn.
Her pupils dilated, her face etched with ashen despair.
“Impossible! How could she really be dead?”
Still refusing to accept reality, they frantically pulled out their phones and dialed my number.
The result remained the same.
No matter how much they call, I will never answer.
Dad unconsciously ran his hands through his hair, mumbling incoherently, wanting to speak
but unable to form the words.
Mom was already in tears, staring blankly at the urn and pinching the back of her hand to
stop herself from screaming.
“I don’t believe she’s dead!”
“If she’s really dead… what about Helen’s kidney source?”
I faltered, a self–deprecating smile tugging at the corner of my mouth.
So, now that I’m dead, their biggest concern is older sister’s kidney source!
With no time to grieve for me, they received several more calls from the hospital.
Thinking older sister was seriously ill, they disregarded the fact that my body was barely cold
and casually tossed the urn aside.
“Has something happened to Helen?”
“No, but someone is causing a disturbance in the hospital room!”
Inside the hospital room, a man was surrounded by security guards, shouting obscenities.
The older sister was terrified and speechless, huddling under the blanket, afraid to come out.
Seeing her parents arrive, she grew even more anxious and, ignoring her cough and flushed
face, cried out:
“Quickly, get him out of here!”
The man spat, shoved aside several security guards, stretched out his arm, and jabbed finger at the older sister’s nose:
“Helen Wyatt! You broke your promise!”
“We had a deal! As long as I replaced your sister’s stomach medicine with vitamins, you’d

“Helen Wyatt! You broke your promise!”
“We had a deal! As long as I replaced your sister’s stomach medicine with vitamins, you’d deposit money into that bank card every month!”
“Now the card’s frozen! Tell me what’s going on!”
The news was too sudden for the father to process; he trembled as he stood, nearly falling.
“What vitamins are you talking about?”
“How did you get your hands on this card?”
Realizing he’d let something slip, the man’s face darkened, and he began to stammer.
But the police had already arrived outside, giving him no chance to hesitate!
“Helen Wyatt gave me the card. She said a sum of money would be deposited every month
for me to spend as I pleased.”
“As for the vitamins… the vitamins…”
A truth they never acknowledged, nor dared to confront, slowly began to unravel.
The man was the owner of the small pharmacy downstairs.
In the past, when I had stomach pains and little money, I could only afford to buy cheap
stomach medicine from him.
The medicine wasn’t effective, and I assumed I was suffering the consequences of buying
something cheap.
Later, when my parents discovered the painkillers contained vitamins, I became even more
confused.
I suspected my older sister, suspected my parents, but never suspected the problem originated with the source of the medication!
That explains it.
That explains why my stomach problems have been getting worse.
Mom and Dad stared blankly as the man was taken away by the police, watching Older
sister sob incessantly in bed.
“Dad, Mom, that’s not true! Yulia Wyatt must have bribed him to frame me…”
Older sister, with tears welling in her eyes, grabbed Mom and Dad’s sleeves and shook them,
feeling extremely wronged before bursting into a violent cough.
Before, Mom and Dad would have rushed to her side, anxiously offering tea and water.
But now they sat motionless, staring blankly ahead.
His expression was cold, aging him instantly by a decade.
“Malan Watt you’ve disappointed us so much”
