I got into the car with Annie’s sister. She sat sternly in her seat. I could tell from her face that she didn’t trust me. I saw her looking at me out of the corner of her eye. I

smiled at her, but then turned my face to the window so she would think I was

mocking her. She was a very young and very beautiful girl, almost as much as my beautiful doll. I gave a sweet smile as I remembered her.

“What are you laughing at? Are you making fun of me?” I turned to look at her. I could already see a difference between the two sisters. While Annie was sweet and tender,

this girl was aggressive and distrustful..

“No, I’m not making fun of you. I was thinking about your sister.” She made a face of disgust. Apparently, she didn’t like my interest in my doll.

“Can I know what your relationship is? You know she’s pregnant, right?” I let out a laugh without being able to help it. Of course, I knew she was pregnant, it was pretty

obvious to the eye.

“Believe me, if you don’t tell me, I wouldn’t notice.” I tried to joke with her a little. I watched as she pressed her lips together. Apparently, she didn’t like what I said. This girl was bitter, that was for sure.

“I didn’t mean it like that, I expressed myself badly. I mean, you know she’s pregnant by another guy. So I don’t think you have any interest in her.” I rested my head on the back of the seat and closed my eyes. Fatigue was reaching my body, and this girl’s defensive attitude was causing me more physical wear and tear.

“Yes, I know. She’s pregnant by the guy she was going to marry. Satisfied?” She didn’t answer me. I hoped this ridiculous conversation would end. But suddenly, a shot of adrenaline prompted me to keep arguing. “Why are you attacking me? I wasn’t the ****t who rejected my doll. I would never have done that to her.”

I saw two tears run down her face. Something urged me to reach out and wipe the one in front of me, but I stopped myself in time.

“I’m sorry if I treated you badly. But my sister suffered a lot from Liam’s lack of love.

Her angry expression made me smile, but I didn’t like her words.

“We should never wish ill on anyone. Don’t say that. Annie wouldn’t like it.” She relaxed a little and for the first

“You know, I feel like she and you are very much alike. I don’t think you’d make a good couple.” I let out a Inugh, but shook my hend firmly.

“Tak, tok, Ink. Don’t say that in front of her, or she won’t give me a chance. I’m still trying to convince her that I can make her happy, but I need more support. The devilish twins love me, so I already have two points in my favor.” She smiled when she heard my nickname for my doll’s friends.

After that, the road to the hospital was more pleasant. The girl no longer looked at me with bad eyes. And that gave me relief, because she might be my sister–in–law in the future.

Not long after, we arrived at a luxurious hospital.

Rocio spoke to her mother on the phone and told her where to go. We hurried into the elevator. I could see she was nervous and I gave her arm a little squeeze. She nodded at me, letting me know she would be fine. When the door finally opened, I could see a group of people together. I imagined they were Annie’s family.

“How’s my

sister?” The girl asked the question that mattered to me, but they told her that Annie was in the operating room due to a complication. That set off alarm bells in my head. I was sure my doll must be scared, so without hesitation, I asked permission to go and be with her. I knew there was no problem with her mother, but with her father, it was another matter.

I went to the nurses‘ station to find the hospital director. I told them my name and my family’s last name. I didn’t like using it to my advantage, but this situation was special and urgent for me. Within minutes, a man of about fifty years old stood before me.

“Well, if it isn’t Abraham’s son. You’re his spitting image. And how can I help you?” I greeted the director politely and quickly explained my situation.

“My girlfriend is in surgery for a C-section and I would like to go in and be with her.” The doctor immediately nodded and asked that they inform the operating room that I was coming in.

“Thank you very much. I hope to greet you again when things are calmer.” My father’s friend smiled and patted me on the shoulder. As soon as we said goodbye, I went back to Annie’s family to inform them.

“I have authorization. I’m going in. Whatever happens, I’ll come out and let you know.” They agreed, and I went

to the sterilization area. In no time, I was ready to enter.

The door opened and the coldness of the place hit me. In the middle of the operating room was Annie, her arms strapped down. She was crying, and seeing her like that broke my heart.

“Doll?” I spoke softly and she turned her head. When she saw me, she burst into tears.

“Aaron, you came.” Her crying subsided, she whispered to me. I nodded and moved closer to take her hand. “Angelito, my baby is tangled.” She continued to cry, but now it was soft.

“Don’t worry. That little footballer is strong. Everything will be fine.” I let the doctors do their job, so I didn’t Interfere with the surgery. I just dedicated myself to holding Annie’s hand, which had been shaking incessantly since I entered, but now was calmer.

When we heard Angelito’s cry, tears came to Annie’s eyes again, but this time, I cried with joy too.

“Everything’s okay, doll. The little one is here with us now.” We let them check him over and clean him up a bit before taking him to his mother’s side.

“Hi, my love! I’m a mommy, I love you, my darling. And this is Aaron, Do you remember him?” The tenderness of the moment filled my heart with joy, and this was one of the best moments of my existence. To witness, the miracle of life was a marvel of divine perfection

“Of course, he remembers me!” I took his little hand, and he squeezed my finger very tightly. He didn’t seem to want to let go, and I wasn’t going to let him.
