“Save your breath, doctor,” I cut him off. “Doing one good deed doesn’t erase a lifetime of cruelty.”
I turned my gaze back to Ethan, whose expression remained unreadable. “You can arrange all the special treatments you want. It
won’t change what you’ve done to my daughter and granddaughter.”
Olivia tightened her grip on my waist. “Mom, please. Let’s just get you back to your room.”
Dr. Fletcher opened his mouth to defend Ethan again, but the Alpha King silenced him with a subtle gesture of his hand.
“It’s alright,” Ethan said quietly. “Mrs. Winters is entitled to her opinion.”
He stepped aside, allowing the medical staff to escort us back to the ward. As we moved past him, I caught a glimpse of something

Once Olivia and her mother were out of earshot, I turned to Dr. Fletcher, who looked uncomfortable with the exchange.
