Chapter 14
“Nothing, I just saw someone that I didn’t want to see.”
Ivy was stunned. “Besides Logan Clarke, who else could affect Skylar’s mood?” she thought.
“Don’t be so nice to Logan anymore. He’s not worth it,” said Skylar.
Ivy nodded. She did not want to have more contact with Logan anyway.
“Shall we have a meal together?” He turned to her and asked.
“Where?”
“There’s a new restaurant on the south side of the city. How about there?” he asked as he started the car engine.
In actuality, Skylar was purely asking out of politeness and was not expecting her response. Before Ivy could answer, he had already driven in that direction.
For unknown reasons, Skylar was driving at a tortoise pace. Ivy felt that it was not even half of his usual driving speed. His slow driving was pushing her over the edge, to the point that she wanted to kill him.
“Sky, what are you doing?” She was running out of patience.
Skylar grinned. “Be patient. A good show is about to start. Just wait and see.”
He was not only driving slowly, but the route he was taking was also different from the usual path.
Skylar and Ivy walked into the restaurant together. At first glance, they saw Logan, Stella, Henry, and Andrew. Four of them were sitting together at one table.
However, the siblings were calm, and they chose a table that was very far from them. They sat down, placed their order, and started chatting as usual. They treated the gang as if it was invisible and did not even bother to look at the gang.
Logan’s hand froze with a fork in his hand. He was freaking out. ” I’m doomed. I am doomed for good,” he thought.
He instantly regretted his choice to feign serious illness. A few hours ago, they had just met up in the hospital. Yet a couple of hours later, he was here, out of bed and having a proper meal outside the hospital.
Most importantly, Stella was with him.
Henry sighed. “You are done for. Try harder to be a nice guy in your next life,” he said while he rested his head on his palm.”
“I agree. This game is a dead end. You’ve been dealt a good hand, but you haven’t played your cards right. There’s no way for you to save this. R.I.P.” Andrew glanced at Logan with a sympathetic gaze, feeling sorry for him.
Stella, who was sitting on the other side, clenched her fist tightly under the table. “Why do I feel that Logan is starting to care about Ivy Gray?” she thought to herself.
“No… This can’t be happening. It certainly can’t. I’ve come all this way, and they have finally divorced. Plus, I am the only woman who can sit by Logan’s side and have a meal with him. I have a chance.”
She used those thoughts to comfort herself.
Skylar smirked and looked at lvy. “Guess who I saw at the hospital just now?”
“Stella?” Skylar did not like anyone related to Logan Clarke, especially that Stella Palmer.
“She was on a phone call, saying that she was going for a meal with Logan. She mentioned this restaurant, so I brought you here. I
thought Logan wouldn’t make it since he had a severe injury and was admitted to the hospital. I didn’t expect him to actually come.” Skylar’s impression of Logan had fallen considerably. If it were marked, it would be in the negatives.
“He has a strong will.” Ivy sighed.

Skylar laughed and said, “Logan is a jerk. He only realizes how great you are after the divorce. If he doesn’t quit bothering you, let’s sick’em. We can drag him into a dark alley and beat him up. That seems like a simple and efficient solution.”
“Forget it, it’ll be embarrassing if someone finds out…” She paused for a moment then continued, “But we can just beat him up in public.”
Skylar was speechless. “This cool woman is indeed my dear sister,” he thought.
Inside, Ivy was actually furious. “Last night, he sounded like he was dying. He seemed dreary too when I visited him today. Yet now, he’s out having a nice meal here?” she thought to herself.
“He came all the way here. Is he doing all this so that he can continue to fool me?” she continued to think.
She felt disgusted. “I should have known better. After the divorce, I can never be friends with him,” she told herself.
“Are you seeing anyone lately? You should get a date soon,” Skylar said as he placed a piece of black forest cake onto his plate.
She smiled. “Why? Am I bugging you?”
“I’d never have the guts to think of you like that. I wouldn’t even dare to cry if you tie me up and beat me to death.” Skylar continued, “I just feel bad. You were forced into marriage before having a chance to fall in love. If only I had been more cautious back then and done that that project well, then you wouldn’t have needed to marry Logan Clarke.”
He became choked up as he spoke. He lowered his head, setting his sights on his plate.
Ivy said nothing.
She pinched Skylar’s chin and mockingly said, “Let me see how a hunk cries.”
It was not really Skylar’s fault. Her marriage was just a usual arranged marriage. At that time, the business circles were having a crisis. It affected both the Gray Group and Clarke Group. Plus, Skylar had been deceived. Thus, Gray Group had encountered a significant loss compared with others.
To stabilize the stock in both companies, Mdm. Clarke Sr. had come to Ivy’s father and suggested that their companies should form an alliance through an arranged marriage. The marriage had been big news for the industry. Not long after, their stock prices had stopped falling and started to rise instead.
At that time, Skylar had thought that Logan would treat Ives well and he would have nothing to comment on. However, Logan had turned out to be a jerk. Skylar used to spy on Logan during his free time. He clearly knew where Logan usually was and when he would be there.
Skylar pushed Ivy’s hand away. “I have to go to the restroom. Have a seat and wait for a while.” Skylar stuffed a few pieces of tissue into his pocket and left.
Seeing this, her smile grew wider. “Is Sky going to hide in the toilet and weep secretly?” she thought.
She picked up her fork and continued eating her food. Suddenly, something shadowed her.
Then, she saw a person standing in front of the table. She immediately recognized the watch that the invader was wearing. It was Logan.
The watch was one in a matching watch set, and she had the pairing one. The day before the divorce, she had left the watch in Logan’s
house.
The man sat across from her and folded his arms. “I didn’t mean to do that. I was worried that anymore,” he said in a low and hoarse voice.
you wouldn’t pay attention to me
He was a little anxious. He was hesitant about what to say and stuttering over his words. It was his first time to say such words.
He felt tormented since he had never tried to defend himself. He did not really want to face the truth even after knowing that he did the wrong thing.
Ivy did not bother to pay attention to him. She continued to enjoy her meal. However, after a couple of bites, she felt uncomfortable with having Logan sit opposite her. So, she raised her head and looked at him. “Oh, you didn’t?” she said with a surprised look.
Logan was shocked.
Henry burst into laughter after he heard Ivy’s response. At the same time, he turned on his music player and searched for “Collin 2/3

Dance“. He immediately played the song in public.
“Best song for my best bro,” Henry thought.
Ivy looked in Henry’s direction. He was laughing. Suddenly, he saw her looking at him, and he froze.
Henry slowly turned his gaze away. He dared not look at her at all from then on. He remembered what he had promised himself, and he would keep it.
The “Coffin Dance” song was still playing, enveloping everyone’s senses on the scene.
His face took on an unnerved expression, and all his fingers curled up due to awkwardness.
Ivy pretended not to know him.
The royal princeling, Logan, was actually being treated like a stranger by his ex–wife.
He felt numbed.
His facial complexion was ghastly pale, yet he managed to maintain a cold expression. Nobody knew how he managed that.
Perhaps it was for the sake of dignity.
Even Logan himself did not know how he left Ivy behind. He ignored everyone and walked straight out of the restaurant.
Immediately, Henry and Andrew hurried out to catch up with him. Stella was left alone again.
Stella stared at Ivy. Her eyes glinted with a trace of cruelty as if she wanted to eat Ivy alive.
However, Ivy was clearly not afraid of her. She calmly and slowly said, “Do you want to get beaten up? You like Logan so much, and he got hurt from shielding you. Why don’t you take out your own rib and make some soup with it? Perhaps he’ll be so moved that he’ll decide to make you his wife.”
