Chapter 18
All of a sudden, Henry looked at Logan. “Bro, please don’t tell me that you’re trying to get beaten up by Ivy,” he asked in a surprised
tone.
“I would if I could.” Logan thought that it was a brilliant idea.
“Are you out of your mind? Get back to your senses!” He shook Logan. “If you try to get her to beat you up, it will only make her hate you more!”
Logan took some time to think. “What if she punches me by accident?”
“No, she thinks that you have no sincerity. She won’t believe you anymore. She’ll only think that you’re playing your old tricks.”
Logan was about to lose it. He thought of many ways, but all of them were not a good solution.
“Why don’t you…”
Logan looked at him expectantly, waiting for Henry to give suggestions.
Why don’t you give up?”
Logan pointed at the door. “Get out.”
Henry pursed his lips and stopped talking. “This is my house,” he thought.
“How can I see her get married and have children with another man when just thinking of it drives me crazy?”
Henry could understand that deeply, and he nodded. “Yes, I can sense that already.”
He felt it when Logan intended to kill him at the door just now.
Suddenly, Logan said, “I actually brought a hammer with me. It’s in the car.”
“So if I didn’t explain myself well, or my explanation wasn’t immediate, Logan could have hit me to death?” Henry thought while he felt speechless.
“Why don’t you try pursuing her? Like send her flowers or buy her food. When you’re free, be around her, and try to validate your existence. If you do those things, I don’t believe there’ll be anyone in your league.” Excluding some minor flaws, Logan could be considered perfect from his family background to himself as an individual.
Henry’s words made sense to Logan. His mood got much better as if he had already won Ivy’s heart.
Henry did not burst his bubble although he could obviously see Logan’s change of mind.
He also would not tell Logan about Skylar’s plan. The night before, Skylar had persuaded Ivy to date a new man to piss Logan off.
More accurately, Skylar wanted Ivy to date a couple of men to piss him off.
“Skylar is really the wildest person ever,” Henry thought.
After listening to Henry’s advice, Logan checked out Ivy’s schedule and found out that she was going to the company for inspection. So, he specially handpicked a bouquet of roses for her. He vaguely remembered that there were white roses like these in the house back then. “Perhaps Ivy would like them,” he thought.
He had a faint smile as he recalled those details. “When Ivy comes out later, give her this bouquet,” he said to his assistant, Oliver.
Oliver thought of something when he saw the flowers. “The madam used to buy flowers like these too, but there always seemed to be a glass cover over it,” he thought.
He looked at Logan and said, “Mr. Clarke, Ma–Ms. Gray used to buy flowers too, but there was always a glass cover over it. Do you want to add an extra touch to it?”

Logan was silent for three seconds. “It’s too late now. Send this over for today first. I’ll prepare the others for tomorrow.”
Oliver felt that something was not right as if he had forgotten something. He scratched his head and thought, “Forget it. Mr. Clarke asked me to just deliver them, so I should just do as he says.”
Oliver sent the flowers to Ivy just as she stepped out of the company. He put the flowers right in front of her.
Ivy got shocked and backed up.
Logan saw her reaction from afar. “Is it working?” He wondered, “Will she feel excited because I sent her flowers? If so, I’ll send her flowers every single day.”
His happiness ended very quickly when he saw Ivy faint on the floor.
Logan’s smile froze. He rushed to carry her into the car.
Oliver threw the bouquet on the floor and got in the driver’s seat before he started the engine quickly. “Mr. Clarke, you’ve made a harmful decision. Ms. Gray is allergic to pollen.” He felt very guilty.
Logan fell into deep silence, and his heart sank. His hand that was holding on to Ivy’s was trembling slightly.
He did not know that Ivy was allergic to pollen.
Oliver sighed. “That’s why I kept feeling that I forgot something. The glass cover was used to isolate the pollen.”
Logan held Ivy in his arms tightly.
“The patient experienced anaphylactic shock due to exposure to an allergen, in this case, pollen.”
As soon as the doctor finished, Logan immediately asked, “Then, is she okay?”
The amount of pollen that she inhaled was not much, so she’s fine.”
Edward Land hurried over and discovered the situation. “Little princeling, you’re really something. How dare you make such moves when you don’t know anything?”
Logan was sitting by the bed, holding Ivy’s hand.
Suddenly, the door opened.
Skylar stepped in furiously. “Logan Clarke!”
When Edward saw Skylar being that angry, he quickly pulled Skylar back. He was afraid that Skylar would run over and punch Logan,
He knew that Skylar could take down a person with one punch.
“Mr. Gray, calm down. Don’t worry, it will be alright. Ivy will wake up soon.”
Unfortunately, Logan suddenly said, “Let go of him. Let him come at me. I won’t fight back.”
Edward felt speechless.
“Logan, are you out of your senses?” he thought.
“Have you ever been beaten up before?” he continued to think.
“Do you know a punch from Skylar can make you paralyzed in the hospital for three months?” His thoughts lingered.
“No, you don’t know. You have no idea about Skylar’s incredible strength,” Edward surmised.
“Fine, I won’t punch you.” Skylar took a deep breath. “I can’t disturb Ives and wake her up,” he tried his best to hold back his anger.
“I’ll call the police. As he spoke, he took out his phone and dialed the emergency number. “Someone here intended to murder my sister. It’s her husband. He wants to destroy those he can’t get.”

Edward was shocked.
Not long after, the police arrived.
“This is him. Charge him for deliberate murdert” Skylar pointed at Logan with a stern look.
After understanding the situation, the police felt troubled since it was a family matter. As outsiders, they could not get involved,
“I wanted to pursue her again, but I didn’t know that she was allergic to pollen…”
The police attempted to comfort Skylar. After that, they started to give Logan advice.
“You wanted to pursue her, but you didn’t know about her in detail. You have to put some thought into it if you intend to chase after her. Since you didn’t, look at what you’ve done. You’ve chased her into the hospital”
Logan nodded slightly. “I know.”
“That’s good then. We’ll take our leave.”
They came and went in a hurry.
The ward was filled with pin–drop silence again.
Suddenly, Skylar scoffed, “You didn’t know Ives was allergic to pollen?”
“Haven’t you ever noticed that the flowers I get her always have a glass cover?”
“I thought it was for decoration purposes.” Logan felt wronged,
“Decoration purposes? Decoration purposes your a**!” Skylar cursed Logan in his head. He got triggered by Logan.
Edward swiftly moved to Skylar’s side when he saw Skylar clenching his fists. He was prepared to stop Skylar at any second.
“Logan, I don’t want to see you, Get out,”
“No, I want to wait until she wakes up.”
Skylar was so furious that his hands trembled. “Did Ives dig your grave in her past life? Are you here for revenge?”
Edward noticed that the situation was getting out of hand. So, he pulled Logan out of the ward immediately. “Just get out. You’re triggering him. You’re the one who caused his sister to end up in the hospital. You’re in the wrong anyhow. Don’t say any more. Try harder next time to be a nice guy.”
Skylar felt better after Logan disappeared.
Logan sat on the bench in the corridor after he got dragged out of the ward.
“Out of everything that you could do, why did you choose to send her flowers? Couldn’t you just buy her a bag of apples? At least she could have saved it for later” Edward sat beside him. He thought Logan could do better than this and was speechless at how things had turned out.
Talking about sending flowers, Logan remembered something. He sent Henry a text saying, [Get out and receive your beating.]
He kept his phone after he sent the message.
