Chapter 19
“To put it bluntly, you still couldn’t care less.”
Logan did not make any excuses. He knew he had already screwed up, so rather than mere platitudes, he should find a way to make up for it.
When Ivy woke up, there were a lot of small red spots on her hands. When she saw them, she cried, “Sky, they’re hideous.”
Skylar was speechless.
As she continued to cry, she found herself out of breath, and immediately stopped crying after that.
Skylar took a piece of tissue and wiped away her tears. “Remember to check if Logan is around before you go out next time. Nothing good will come from running into him.”
The thought of Logan giving her white roses put her in a fit of fury.
Let me rest for a while, then I’ll drag Logan over and beat his a**!” That b*stard actually wanted to kill her!
Skylar looked out the door and said to her, “I’ll get you something to eat. Take a nap then.”
As soon as he left, he saw Edward Land, “Doctor Land, I’ll be heading out for a bit. Please don’t let Logan Clarke approach my sister.”
Edward nodded. “Understood.”
As soon as Skylar left, Logan stepped out of the bathroom.”
The moment he saw Skylar leave, he immediately wanted to go in and see how Ivy was doing.
Edward Land stopped him. “What do you think you’re doing? Skylar has forbidden you from approaching his sister.”
Logan looked at him and remained silent for a long time. Edward could no longer stand him and moved aside. “Just say sorry, nothing else, especially the part about you not knowing that she was allergic to pollen.”
He had told Logan what to do, and if Logan still messed up, that meant he was really screwed in the head.
Edward added another line as Logan took a deep breath and was about to enter the ward. “If you dare to talk nonsense, just wait till Ivy marries someone else.”
Logan then entered the ward with utmost sincerity in his heart.
“Skylar, that was fast… F*ck, it’s you, Logan!” Ivy immediately sprang up from her bed.
“Calm down, I…” He remembered Edward’s words and immediately said, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”
“What’s the point? If ‘sorry‘ was actually useful, what’s the need for police?” Ivy wanted to get out of the bed to beat him up, but she suddenly felt dizzy.
Logan took a few steps forward and wanted to see what was wrong with her. The moment he remembered how she hated him, he immediately stopped.
He pursed his lips and said. “Give me two minutes. I’ll leave in a bit.”
As he finished speaking, he moved toward Ivy and lay her flat on the bed. “Once you’re okay, I’ll—”
“Get lost.”
The edge of Logan’s eyes reddened. Ivy had ordered him to get lost…
Logan left the ward and the hospital as well.

Chapter 19
Ivy was about to blow her fuse. If she had not been unwell today, she would have beaten Logan up to the point of hospitalization.
Over the next three days in the ward, Logan never came again.
After three days of recuperation, she had almost recovered. The afternoon that she was about to be discharged, a face that would immediately make her nauseous appeared.
Was there a person more nauseating than Logan’s mother? None.
Karen Clarke walked into the ward in her usual opulent get–up.
Ivy was just about to change out of her ward clothes, but she stopped immediately.
“Mdm. Clarke, what are you doing here?”
The moment she said that, Karen Clarke exploded. “What? Is this YOUR hospital? You can be here, and I can’t?”
Ivy raised her eyebrows. “Of course you can, but I don’t want to be here. Please, do come here more often in the future.”
“You!” Last time, Karen had already gotten a taste of how sharp–tongued this girl was. She did not expect the latter to curse her without actually actually cussing.
“What are you looking at me for?” Ivy went straight to the main subject and did not want to waste her time with Karen.
Karen snorted coldly. “You’ve divorced my boy, yet you are still thinking of ways to seduce him. You better sever all ties with him as soon as possible, or else—”
Ivy cut her off before she could finish. “Or else what? Get lost, and tell your son not to show up in front of me for no reason. He was the reason I got hospitalized. I’m not going fuss about with him this time, but if he dares to show his face before me again, I’ll beat him up every time I see him.”
When she saw that Karen’s face was flushed with anger, her mood got even better. “Oh right, don’t you dislike me? If you don’t like a great family like mine, then I wonder if you like those lowborn w*nches who treat your son as a gold mine?”
Karen Clarke was stunned as Ivy added, “I’ll be the first to congratulate you.
“Congratulations to your son for marrying someone he likes. Don’t you want to know who that person is? Why it’s the cute little Stella Palmer, of course. You’ve seen her before, right?”
As she said that, Ivy played “Cry me a river” on her phone.
The song and melody were played at full volume.
“When she marries your son, don’t bother inviting me. I’m afraid I’ll be too happy that I’ll give him a billion in marital gifts. But I’m quite grateful to you for letting me escape the Clarkes so soon.”
“Did you just say that Logan’s going to marry Stella?” Karen was suddenly a little flustered. Although she did not like Ivy, her family was prominent and could be bragged about for years. Now, if her
her son were to marry some small–time girl, she would definitely be the butt of the joke in her circle.
“Yeah, aren’t you happy?” As Ivy finished, she whispered in Karen’s ears, “Stella is a much better actor than I am. If she’s wronged, she’ll whisper into your son’s ears and get him to send you away, probably to some deserted island.”
She suddenly showed sympathy. “Poor you. Don’t you worry, I’ll tell all your good friends where they can go to laugh at… no, visit you.”
Ivy then burst into a huge laughing fit.
Karen Clarke had already left in a daze by then.
She was about to change her clothes again when the door opened once more.
“Who told you I was going to marry Stella?” Logan stood at the door, his face extremely gloomy.
She had not seen Logan for quite some time now, and today, he was still as annoying as ever.
“You’re not marrying her?” Ivy sat by the side of the bed and asked casually.

Chapter 19
“I have no idea where you heard that. Don’t you go guessing what’s in my mind.”
Ivy sniggered. “Don’t guess what’s in your mind? Who do you think you are? A king?
Perhaps you’ve been treated like a prince for too long that you think the whole world revolves around you?”
She maintained a smile and said, “Idiot.”
The moment she spat that out, her smile immediately froze as her expression changed instantly.
Logan had no idea what to say for a good while. Anything he said would be useless.
“Anything else? If not, you can leave.” Ivy made a gesture toward the door.
Logan stood there motionless. “Is it because of me and Stella?”
“What does that have to do with me? Go get hitched then.”
“Ivy Gray, can’t you just let me finish for once?” He was furious and very anxious. Ivy had always put on airs of wanting to sever all relations with him. That was just too brutal.
Speak then.”
When she asked him to speak, he did not want to speak.
So, more and more, Ivy thought that he was an idiot.
“I have nothing to do with Stella.” He pondered for a long time and had nothing else to say.
Ivy curled her lips and slowly opened the memo app on her phone.
