Chapter 20
She put the phone screen in front of Logan’s face.
his face instantly turned pale as he looked stem from nothing.”
at her.
- er. “Those are all fake news. You know that a lot of them are mere media speculations that
All he saw was a record Ivy had made of the dates and the people he had gotten into a scandal with.
It turned out she had always remembered, and she had remembered them very clearly.
“Spare me the mewling excuses. Why have you been photographed? I might have been able to accept it if it were three or four of them, but to have thirty to forty of them? Have you no self–awareness at all?”
As she spoke, Ivy became pissed once again.
He had nothing to refute, and those rumors were indeed a little tooch, but… if the media had latched themselves onto him alone,
what could he do?
Ivy gritted her teeth and hissed. “We are already divorced, yet you
still harassing me, you scumbag.”

“It’s not like he’s not a piece of sh*t, to begin with.” Skylar had been waiting downstairs but after noticing that Ivy had not come down after a long while, he went up to look for her.
He did not expect her to be stopped by Logan.
Skylar immediately handed her clothes to her and motioned her to change in the washroom.
That left only Skylar and Logan in the ward.
“We don’t believe you, and you should know why. I’m sure you know the story about the boy who cried wolf,” Skylar said as he packed Ivy’s things up.
“Since you don’t believe me, what’s the point of me explaining?”
Skylar paused for a moment as he smiled. “Then, give up now, and don’t delay my sister’s search for her next partner–in–life.”
“Sh*t! I got tricked!”
After packing up, he left the room, but not before suddenly stopping and saying, “I will never forget a single one of those disgusting things you’ve done to Ivy,”
Then the room fell into a deathly silence.
“I didn’t do any of it on purpose, but none of them believed me.” Logan was smashed drunk as he lay on the table bawling his eyes out.
Henry, with his purple hair, was by Logan’s side as he patted the latter’s back. “If it were me, I wouldn’t have believed you either.”
“If you ask me, Logan, forget her. You’re a total scumbag anyway, and Skylar will never believe you no matter what. So, just forget about her and be a proper scumbag.” Andrew glanced at Logan and found the latter quite pitiful amidst his sobbing.
If it were not for the fact that there was no other way, he would not have asked Logan to give up so quickly.
They all knew that Ivy was not the same as other women. She could buy whatever she liked, and she did not care for what one could give her, much less a scumbag who had hurt her before.
Logan suddenly raised his head and sat up straight as he looked at both of them with slightly red eyes. “Why are you two calling me a scumbag?”
Where did he go wrong?!
“Look, a scumbag without self–awareness.”

Chapter 20
“You have so many scandals revolving around you, and you dare say that it’s not you?”
Logan looked at them in shock. “You guys don’t believe me?”
Henry said, “Ugh… although… but… With so much news swirling around you, forget Ivy, even we believe some of them.”
“Also, that lover of yours, Stella… We’ve been saying that there has to be something going on between you two, but you’ve never denied it, not even once.”
“I never denied it because I thought you guys were just pulling my legs. The point was, every time they pulled his leg, it was done sinisterly.
Henry then went, “Um… then… why are you giving her money for?”
That was something they had never understood.
“Give her money?” Logan pondered for a bit and had no recollection at all.
He immediately called his assistant, and the response he got was….
“Boss, back then she was being pursued by someone, and she ran to our company. She sobbed as she told you how she was poor, her father was in hospital, and her mother doing menial work. She was so poor that they could not afford food, and she had a young brother who was so thin that he looked pitiful. Have you forgotten?”
Logan was speechless. Hmm? When was this? Why did he not know about it? He wondered as he scratched his head.
“It’s normal for you to forget about it. You were annoyed back then, so you asked me to give her some money and send her away. Since you had a charity project, I put her name on it for her to receive a monthly grant,” the assistant explained.
Logan tried to recall it… Nope, no recollection at all.
“Stop it. She doesn’t seem like she’s short on money,” Logan frowned and said coldly.
“Alright, Boss. I’ll stop it right away.”
Logan hung up and still had no recollection at all. Strange.
“Enough, stop thinking about it. Except for work, you can’t remember anything else.” Henry knew that well. Logan could remember the company’s annual report almost word for word, like a computer. It was scary, really.
Andrew let out an audible “F*ck me.”
“So you were just taking pity of a stray.”
Logan suddenly felt a lump in his throat and realized that he had spent very little time on his wife…
He pondered carefully. He had gotten married when he was twenty–two, and it had been during the time when the company had been handed over to him, as his father had gone abroad to open up new markets. He needed to get those old coots in the office to submit to him, so out of 365 days in the year, he had spent at least 360 days in the office.
In those two years, he had succeeded.
During the next half of the third year, he had spent most of his time with Ivy, but perhaps by then, it had already been too late.
His heart felt like it was being ripped apart. His sins were his own, so how could he demand her to love him?
Logan was a little upset. “How could I do something like that?”
“Logan, I feel that Stella is probably about to throw herself on you to repay the favor.”
Henry broke into a sinister smile.
Logan had nothing to say. “Someone get her to snap out of that dream, pronto,”

Chapter 20
After resting for a few days, Ivy suddenly received a call, and she was stunned for a good while when she saw the caller’s ID.
It was Pierre North.
Speaking of Pierre, he could be considered one of her good male friends.
However, they had not been in contact since she got married. After she had gotten married, Pierre had gone abroad to explore overseas markets.
Now that she was divorced, Pierre was actually calling her.
However, if one were to say that Pierre loved her, it would be absolutely impossible. He would, at best, only like her.
She, Pierre North, Danielle Burton, and Sean Langley had been friends since grade school until high school. One could say that the four of them had grown up together.
Later on, Sean had confessed to her. After all, they had been quite familiar with one another, so she had accepted it. When they had fallen in love, she had thought it to be quite sweet, and the sweetest thing had been them walking around the field hand in hand.
Down the road, something that shocked her would occur. Danielle and Sean had also been seeing each other, and when Danielle had sent Ivy a photo of her and Sean, Ivy’s world had immediately come apart.
In order to avoid her, the two of them had gone abroad to study.
During that time, aside from Skylar, the person around her the most had been Pierre. He was boyish yet extremely mild–mannered at the same time. He had said, “They’re all gone, but I won’t be.”
He had kept his word until the day she had gotten married. Then, he left.
Perhaps he felt that he had done his job.
Almost three years later, the name Pierre North appeared once again.
She answered the phone but did not speak.
She had many thoughts in her mind, but she had no idea what he would say.
“It’s been three years, Puffy.” Pierre’s voice had not changed at all, and even the boyish air in it remained unchanged.
The moment she heard the word “Puffy“, her eyes were a little red.
Back then, they had said that she would look like a puffed–up pufferfish whenever she got mad, and she had angrily said, “Who calls a girl a pufferfish?”
Pierre had then immediately latched onto it. “Then we’ll call you Puff, no, Puffy!”
Later on, she had discovered that Pierre had not called her Puffy because she was sweet, but rather, it had been because the pufferfish in Spongebob was called Mrs. Puff!
“So, you do realize that it’s been three years!” It was impossible for her to cry!
A snigger came from Pierre’s end. “I was afraid of ruining your relationship, so I didn’t call.”
“What relationship, there’s nothing!”
“The
