Logan’s heart sank, and he looked at Ivy in disbelief.
She smiled. “You don’t believe me?”
“When I first saw you, I thought that you were really obedient. If my family had given me such a wife, it’s not like I wouldn’t have accepted her.” Logan said.
“You wanna know why?” Ivy rested her chin on her hand and looked at Logan, “Because this was a business marriage. Since you liked someone who wouldn’t cause you trouble, I put on the act.
“To be honest, I think that you’re a qualified business marriage partner, but you’re definitely not qualified to be a partner for a lifetime.”
She had decided to marry Logan because of the Gray Group. At one point, there had been a business transition, and it dealt too much damage to the Gray Group’s business.
The Clarke Group had the ability to climb back up the business ladder on their own, but the Gray Group’s business would have undoubtedly declined without their help.
Ivy was aware that being in a business marriage with Logan would bring the Gray Group a lot of profit, so she complied. That allowed both parties to receive the advantages brought by the marriage.
During the past three years, Ivy had considered that she no longer owed Logan the favor or anything else. For that reason, she had been searching for the goods on him so that she could divorce him.
“I’m not the type to mess around, and I don’t have the time for that,” Logan explained. It was not like he was the master of time management and possessed an extra three hours more than others in a day.
Ivy was speechless. “I just want to get a divorce since we’re not suited for each other. You don’t even have the time to spend with me, so what affection do you have for me?”
She paused and continued slowly, “You didn’t even get me to like you in the past three years, my dear ex–husband.”
Ivy was thrilled that she had made a clean break with Logan.
Later that day, Logan got himself drunk in a bar, and Henry, as well as Andrew, had to book a private room for him.
Logan drank himself to tears. He then hugged his knees and drew himself in on the couch when he was almost done drinking.
Watching the scene, Henry did not dare to laugh at Logan to avoid getting beaten up by him.
“Look at that, he looks cute when he cries,” Henry and Andrew began to talk about Prince Clarke blatantly.
“I wonder how he got shocked when he has both IQ and EQ?” Andrew felt strange seeing Logan behaving that way.
After he finished his sentence, he went into deep thought.
