Chapter 5
My mom thought the light in my room was off because I was asleep.
“Did you hear all that?” she asked directly.
I shook my head, pretending I hadn’t heard anything
But she didn’t know that I had heard everything.
I ignored the sharp pain in my chest and walked straight past
past her.
“There’s something at the training ground. I need to go back.”
Seeing that I seemed calm, my parents exchanged a glance and finally relaxed.
Aldric noticed the suitcase by my side and furrowed his brows
“Why the suitcase? Running from what you did to Vivienne?”
Mentioning that, my parents, who had been feeling guilty, stood up straighter and glared down at me.
“Right, we almost forgot about that! Laciana, do you even realize what you’ve done? Vivienne’s in the hospital because of you! Just because you’re the Alpha’s daughter, do you think you can do whatever you want?”
She continued, “Her throat swelled up because of the allergic reaction, she almost suffocated, and you, the one responsible for this, are acting like nothing’s wrong. You haven’t even apologized yet, and now you want to leave? What kind of person do you think you are?”
After saying that, my mother rushed forward, trying to grab my suitcase
I swiftly dodged, causing her to miss, and her face turned awkward, though she still blocked my way, as if she didn’t want me to leave.
“What kind of drama are they putting on now?” my wolf muttered. “They treat us badly, but then won’t let us leave.”
Seeing their anger, unwilling to back down, I fed up. Then I called Vivienne on speakerphone, Vivienne had already woken up
She was currently receiving Julian’s attentive care.
“Ooh, is someone jealous Julian’s with me?” Her sickly sweet tone dripped poison
Her voice made my parents and Aldric freeze in disbelief. They couldn’t believe their beloved daughter and sister would speak like that. My wolf was upset because our mate was not by our side but was instead looking after another woman, though I ignored the pain in my
I didn’t care about their thoughts, nor did I care about Julian. I simply replied, “Good. He should take care of you.”
Everyone around me was confused
My parents and Aldric exchanged a glance, sensing something was off but unsure how to address it,
Vivienne spluttered. “Wait you’re okay with this?”
“Of course,”
I answered without hesitation.
“Although I don’t know exactly what caused your allergic reaction, I’m sorry. I apologize.”
After saying this, I hung up the phone quickly, not waiting for Vivienne to respond. Then, I turned to look at my stunned Eamily,
“Now, can I leave?”
I stared at the three of them before me, my lace a mask of Indifference. They just looked back at me in silence.
I grabbed my suitcase and began walking toward the door, desperate to escape from this family.

My mother’s gaze fell on my swollen, red hands–still raw from the allergic reaction–and she reached out, her voice cracking as she shouted,
