Right after he got to the airport, Timothy got a call from Willow, and he sneered. Perfect. He was about to find her, and she practically threw herself at his doorstep.
They met, eventually. Willow seemed excited, but there was trepidation in her eyes as well. She couldn’t forget about that look he gave her that night. It was terrifying. She was worried he was annoyed by how much in a hurry she was.
She decided to be more careful this time. He didn’t like her perfume? She ditched it this time. “You must be hungry after that flight, Timothy. I made your favorite.”
She tried to hold Timothy’s hand, but he moved away.
He hurled the item in his hand at her and demanded, “Anything you want to say for yourself?”
The sudden hit stupefied Willow, but when she noticed the thing on the ground, she paled. That was the letter Yvonne wrote to Timothy. Willow didn’t think Timothy still had it. She smiled and put on a sheepish act.
“I can’t believe you kept the letters. Oh, I’m touched.”
Timothy couldn’t believe someone could be so shameless. He was impressed, to an extent. That didn’t stop him from coldly asking, “Last chance. You’d better tell me the truth.”
The jig was up, and Willow knew it. She decided to throw caution to the wind. “Yeah, I lied to you and Yvonne, but she just had to talk about you every single day. She made you out to be this perfect man, and I fell in love with you. Besides, she might’ve written the letter, but I’m the one you love, aren’t I?
“You treated me like a queen since I came back. I know you love me.”
Timothy’s heart twisted into a knot and was shredded into pieces. All these years, he’d misunderstood Yvonne. Of course, she was disappointed in him. They should’ve been so in love, but this bitch ruined it.
They wouldn’t have lived under the same roof, yet they had no idea they loved each other if not for Willow.
Fiercely, Timothy glared at Willow. “Love you? My ass! You think I would spare a moment for you if it wasn’t for Yvonne? I only treated you like a queen to make her jealous! Did you really think I would give a second chance to someone who ditched me?
“No, I would not, especially when that person is used goods,” said Timothy scathingly, and Willow went red in the face.
She looked at Timothy in disbelief, but he wrapped his hand around her throat. “You’d better shut that pretty mouth of yours up, or I might snap your neck.”
The dripping ferocity in Timothy’s voice silenced Willow. Nathaniel was inside, but he heard the commotion, and he came out to see what was going on. Then, he cried and hugged Timothy’s leg.
“Don’t hurt Mommy, Daddy Timothy!”
Timothy might detest Willow and her boy, but he wouldn’t break the law. Someone else would deal with this liar.
Timothy clapped his hands, and someone hobbled in. A lame man, but Willow screamed at the sight of him.
“Found you, bitch!”
“Don’t hurt Mommy, Daddy!”
Timothy left the house and closed the door on his way out in case the neighbors were disturbed.
He had his men investigate Willow before she came home and found out she had cheated on her husband and worked with her lover to steal her husband’s inheritance. Her lover ditched her, and she lost everything, so she came back like a defeated dog.
