“You’re getting some meat on you.”
I hadn’t even realized he was there.
“Mr. Holbrook…”
He settled me into the chair and put the
blanket back on my legs.
“Don’t be nervous. Call me Sean.”
I frowned.
I couldn’t call him that.
Sean didn’t seem to mind. He introduced the
person behind him.
“This is the best prosthetic designer. Can you
let him help you? Tell him what you have in
mind.”
I ended up choosing a mechanical leg.
Sean stayed for dinner, then he handed me a
document with the name “Rachel Green” on

I told Summer to run east, and I took Sean
and ran west.
I fell, and we rolled into a ravine. Then I
passed out.
When I woke up, I was in the hospital. My
parents said they’d found me.
I had a fever for days. I didn’t remember
