Chapter 10
I looked at him coldly.
“Alexander, what do you regret? Isn’t this exactly the ending you wanted in our past life?”
“Besides, I never loved you. If you hadn’t stolen Ethan’s bracelet and made me mistake you for him, I never would have saved you in the past.”
I took Ethan’s hand and turned to leave.
Alexander frantically spun his wheelchair wheels, but got stuck on a stone and tumbled to the ground.
“Aurelia, please, give me one more chance…”
I didn’t look back, instead walking even faster.
Upon returning home, I told Ethan everything about my past life.
He punched the wall in rage.
“Aurelia, it’s all my fault for not protecting that bracelet properly. You suffered so much because of me. I’ll make Alexander pay double for every injustice you endured!”
But before Ethan could confront Alexander, Alexander kidnapped me first.
My limbs were bound with ropes, rendering me immobile.
“Aurelia, I know I was wrong. Why won’t you forgive me?“.
“Why are you with Ethan? Don’t you know how much I despise him?”
“You used your blood to heal him, yet you watched me become a cripple.”
Alexander sat in his wheelchair looking at me, his expression twisted and crazed.
“But I won’t blame you, because you love me–that’s why you hate me.”
“This time I’ll protect you properly. No one will hurt you, just like in our past life. We can live happily together–wouldn’t that be wonderful?”
“Your blood can heal my legs, can’t it?”
“Once I can walk again, I’ll give you a magnificent mating ceremony. Then we’ll have many adorable pups–boys who look like me, girls who look like you.”
I trembled with fear.
“Alexander, calm down. Your legs have been amputated–even I can’t heal you.”
“My blood doesn’t have the power to resurrect or regenerate flesh and bone.”
“Let me go, and we’ll pretend this never happened.”
But he seemed deaf to my words.
He pulled out a knife from his pocket, slowly approaching me while muttering to himself.
“Aurelia, it will hurt a little. Just bear with it.”
“Soon we can be together again.”
Just as the blade was about to slice my wrist, Ethan appeared and kicked him to the ground.
“Aurelia, are you alright?”
Seeing Ethan appear, tears streamed uncontrollably down my face.
“Ethan, I was so scared.”
“Don’t be afraid, Aurelia. I’m here.”
He untied the ropes binding me and helped me up to leave.
Alexander somehow found the strength to prop himself up and thrust the knife toward Ethan’s back.
Ethan reacted quickly, dodging to the side.
But Alexander, having lost both legs, couldn’t move fast enough. He fell straight down, the knife plunging into his own chest.
By the time Alexander was rushed to the hospital, he had already stopped breathing.
The Silvermoon Pack seized the opportunity to acquire the Blackthorne Pack, becoming the sole dominant force in the Moonlands territory.
Later, Ethan gave me the wedding of the century.
In my past life, Alexander had refused to mate with me, so I never even had a proper ceremony.
Everyone in the supernatural community called the Alpha Moonrise’s eldest daughter a desperate pursuer.
But in this life, I had the most beautiful mating ceremony in the world and a mate who loved me.
I became the envy of all the young women in supernatural society.
Looking at the fireworks exploding in the sky, Ethan cupped my face and kissed me.
This time, I had found my own happiness.
