Chapter 9
“Mother, there must be a mistake. How could Stella possibly harm me?”
Alexander couldn’t believe it. He turned to look at Stella.
“Stella, what’s going on?”
Stella stood frozen in place, pupils contracting, muttering to herself.
“How could Corrosive Moonwater be poison? He clearly told me this medicine could heal your legs. How could he lie to me?”
“There must be some mistake. This wasn’t my doing–it wasn’t me!”
Watching this scene, Alexander could no longer deceive himself.
“Stella, so it really was you who destroyed me…”
Now that the truth was revealed and Alexander had become truly disabled, Ethan and I bid farewell to Luna Margaret, leaving them space to handle their family affairs.
Over the next two months, Ethan frequently found excuses to meet with me.
Today he brought news about Alexander.
It turned out Stella had never gone to the mountains to pick moonflowers. Instead, she had spent a month with a charlatan in exchange for the so–called miracle medicine.
The charlatan was someone Alexander had previously wronged, and he had planned to use Stella to kill Alexander.
After learning the truth, Alexander had a huge fight with Stella, saying all sorts of harsh things.
In her anger, Stella spoke without restraint.
“Alexander, you’re just a cripple now. Who else would want you besides me!”
“If I had known I couldn’t heal you, I would have gone after other Alpha men long ago. I haven’t even complained about you wasting my time and energy, yet you have the nerve to scold me?”
Alexander, enraged, struck Stella.
Stella covered her face and ran from the Blackthorne pack. Within days, she had latched onto a new Alpha man.
But she was discovered by the man’s mate, beaten, and sent back to the Blackthorne Pack. Alexander was also humiliated by the whole territory.
This time Alexander showed no mercy, confining Stella to the estate and tormenting her day and night.
One day, Stella snapped and attacked Alexander, landing him in the hospital. Luna Margaret then had Stella committed to a psychiatric facility.
Hearing this, my emotions were complicated.
Was this the ending Alexander had wanted in the past life?
During this time together, I had gradually grown dependent on Ethan. Combined with the childhood debt of gratitude, we became a couple.
Three months later, he presented me with roses and proposed.
Aurelia, as a child I saved you, and now you’ve saved me. This is our destined fate. Will you mate with me?”
Tears of joy filled my eyes as I was about to say yes.
Suddenly, Alexander’s furious roar came from behind us.
“She won’t agree!”
Alexander wheeled over, his eyes filled with desperation.
“Aurelia, you can’t mate with him.”
“I remember everything–our past life, how I wronged you. I know I was wrong. Please come back to me. I’ll find a way to make it up to you.”
I was stunned.
I hadn’t expected Alexander to regain his past life memories at this moment.
Ethan stepped protectively in front of me.
“Alexander, what nonsense are you spouting?”
“I haven’t even settled accounts with you for your past actions, yet you dare appear before me?”
Alexander looked past Ethan, gazing deeply at my face.
“Aurelia, I know you’ve been reborn too. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have refused to save me in this life, I know if tha

o me, hate me–it’s all my fault.”
“But I regret it. I regret not cherishing you, regret treating you that way. Actually, I had fallen in love with long ago–I just didn’t realize it myself.
Please give me another chance.”
