Chapter 1: Chapter 1

My roommate is a rich daughter from a big company. I was curious about which company it was, and then I heard my mom’s company’s name.

I hid in the bathroom and called my mom, excitedly asking, “Mom, do you have an illegitimate daughter? Does Dad know?”

She was even more excited than me: “Yeah, your dad knows too.”

My expression changed instantly, and I saw my mom send me a photo of my brother in a dress.

On the first day of school, I was the last to arrive at the dorm, and I got dirty on the way rescuing a stray dog.

When I went in, the lively chat in the dorm suddenly went silent for a moment.

All five roommates looked at me in unison, as if I were an intruder in their territory.

Noticing their unfriendly gaze, I just nodded and went in.

They quickly resumed their conversation, and I looked at the bed marked with my name, unable to help frowning.

There are six beds in the dorm; mine is the top left bunk in the middle, but it was already made up.

“Did any of you take the wrong bed?”

I interrupted them in a steady tone, without much emotion.

The air fell silent again.

After a while, Olivia Grant, dressed in a white dress, smiled at me and softly said, “It’s me, my bed is below yours, but I’m not used to having someone sleep above me. I wanted to switch with you, but since you hadn’t arrived, I went ahead and made it.”

I nodded knowingly and said, “Then let’s switch back. I’m not used to it either.”

Olivia Grant was taken aback, her smile faltering slightly, “But I’m allergic to dust mites…”

My eyes lit up, and I laughed, “What a coincidence, I’m also allergic to dust mites.”
