“I have plenty of time to wait for you here” After saying that, he stopped the engine, lit a cigarette, and stared at her with a serious look that felt way colder in the dark. Even his tone sounded more indifferent.
Winona frowned. Knowing they might be spotted by her co–workers still in the building for the nighttime news, Winona clenched her teeth and jumped in the car.
“What else do you want to talk about?” Winona sounded impatient. She wanted to solve this as quickly as she could since she had made the decision.
Xavier knew what she meant, so he glanced at her and said, “Stop it, okay?” Winona could feel the threat and impatience in his tone,

Xavier thought that she regretted it, so he smiled. However, just as he was about to get out of the car, he saw her turn around with a determined Jook, “From now on, let’s act like we don’t know each other,” she said.
Xavier’s face darkened. He looked away, forced a mocking smile, and drove away,

Hearing her grumble, Xavier, who was signing a paper, paused and looked at the new divorce papers.
Winona glanced at the caller ID and tried to prop herself up, but no words came out. Just listening to Xavier’s quiet breathing, she clutched her phone, thinking about the sting from her dreams.
“Come to the office and get what you want.” In the end, Xavier broke the silence first,
Winona was confused, “What are you talking…
“The divorce papers,” he cut in. His indifferent tone suddenly brought Winona back to her senses. She closed her eyes, let her guard down, and said calmly, “I’ll be there soon. Then she hung up the phone and muttered, “It’s time to move on since you’ve made up your mind, Winona.
Xavier’s eyes grew gloomy, realizing she didn’t even hesitate to end the call.

“I haven’t baked one of these since I left. Try it. Still taste like old times?” she asked.
However, Xavier just looked at her and asked, “Why did you come back?”

“Don’t you want me back? Are you still blaming me?” she was about to cry.
Xavier frowned and pursed his lips, seeming to be thinking about something. At this moment, the door of his office was pushed open.
Shawn came in and said anxiously, “Ms. Moore is here, Mr. Patterson.” While he was speaking, Winona had already walked in.
