Mom didn’t even flinch. “I don’t know whet
you’re talking about. Your body can’t handle being pregnant. Lucky for you, Lily needs the
cord blood.”
I knew that my parents would force me into
their twisted plan.
Seeing that I wasn’t giving in, Dad stepped in
and slapped my cheek. “Demon! She is your
sister, sacrificing one child will save your sister!
You will have more.”
It was Frank that broke and grabbed my throat.
“Lily fainted this afternoon, and she needs your
blood to be saved! I will make you go.”

“Hit her, but don’t touch the baby,” My mom
looked to Frank,
My dad and Frank lifted me off the ground and
dragged me towards the car,
The door to the elevator opened and the cop,
Officer Chen, walked out. He lived next door
and would help me around the building.
“Help,” I whispered,
My mouth was immediately covered,
“She is not feeling well. I will take her to the
hospital”

Officer Chen looked suspicious.
Frank was in the back pulling my hands while
my mother flashed her hospital badge.
“We need to go now, we will see you later.”
I was dragged into the elevator while I looked to
Officer Chen.
The doors closed and I was full of despair.
“Almost told the cop, didn’t you? You know we
are saving your sister? You know that is the
sister you love so much?” My mom hissed while
twisting my arms.
The pain caused tears to fall.
Dad’s phone started ringing.
“Dr. Shen, your daughter, Lily, has a fever and
is starting to seize. You need to come back to

He hung up the phone, looking at my stomach
with a grim expression.
“We need to operate immediately.”
When the elevator doors opened, I was dragged
out.
“Stop!” We heard a voice call out. It was Officer
Chen.
My hope came back.
